If this wasn't a hate there then you're A and B options wouldn't be as asinine as they are. We all know Froch is world class. We all know the Kessler fight was close. This is a wind-up thread. Give it a rest.

That would be more in keeping with the losers on this thread.

I haven't heard many top fighters claim they 'weren't themselves' on two seperate occasions after massive fights. Cry about it some more.

Speaking of "it wasn't the real me in there," let's look back to my classic David Haye Post-Fight Excuse Prediction Poll:

    http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=312760&page=6

48.46% of fans predicted Haye's excuse would be roughly "It wasn't me in there. Didn't feel right/broke my hand in the first round/personal issues, etc." Not surprisingly, a plurality of voters were correct.

"It wasn't me in there" -- Classic British Stiff Upper Lip.

Froooch had stopped training for a week because he thought they were going to recshedule the fight because of the volcanic ash in the country. But last minute they inform him that fight is still on.

He had mentally and PHYSICALLY checked out and it was unfair of them to put his life in danger by making him fly through the natural disaster plaguing the area. The Ashes.

Froch is one of the best. Just below Ward, but better than most as it turned out. A fight with a prime Calazghe would be very interesting. I still pick Calzaghe by decision.

It is the handspeed of Calzaghe. It was his best asset.

To be fair he's always maintained this when he faced Kessler (volcanic ash cloud) directly post Ward fight he said to have no excuses and the better man won but recently has been saying that he wasn't right that night. Every fighter does it though so you can't complain, he does still give Ward and Kessler their dues but believes he can beat them in rematches, which there is nothing wrong with.

    Basically this.

Plus, if they rematch and Froch wins convincingly, rightly or wrongly, it would help validate this statement.

    Froch has at least traveled.

Anyone who hasn't had top fights abroad... has no clue how it is. Noone won abroad in the whole super six.. being at home is a HUGE advantage. So anyone who hasn't had big fights abraod... doesnt have a resume worth noting.
