More classic carl ego-mania as he's recently claimed he's almost as associated with Nottingham as Robin Hood following the announcement he's to receive an MBE. The ego has landed.

In his defence though he did make a pretty funny reference to his 80k in Wembley comments adding "I might just casually drop into the Queen that I knocked out George Groves in front of 80,000 people at Wembley.

    Haha

Before i read the 2nd paragraph I had a vision in my head with Carl standing in line at Buckingham Palace with a smirk on his face. The Queen greeting him only to be met with "Did you see me knock out GG in front of 80k fans at Wembley?"

If Carl truly wanted eternal fame then all he has to do is land a right cross on the Queen's chin as she's about to give him the medal - then everyone in the world will know who he is then!!!

Well, if you think of Nottingham the first thing getting into most peoples minds is Robin Hood, and the second is... The Sheriff of Nottingham, wich is Carl Froch. :bart

I like the Cobra, he is funny, I think people take everything he says way to seriously.

I think he had a very dry sense of humour.

    :think

I know it has been over six years since their clash, but maybe Jermain was already carrying the super-Cray virus latently back in '09 and infected Carl when some blood got in his mouth or something?

This will happen if she says she wasn't in the front row at Wembley that night.

Froch has a very dry sense of humour as has already been said, sometimes he doesn't realize why he's being hilarious, it's this awkward stoic manner he has, you just have to work out when he's being tongue in cheek and when he's cheesed off.

The comparison isn't random, I've heard former Robin Hoods, Russell Crowe and Kevin Costner are fighting it out for the privilege of playing the definitive Carl Froch in a forthcoming biopic. The loser has to wear a ginger wig and play George Groves.
