No I'm not comparing froch to gervais or Stephen merchant...are you having trouble reading? I'm saying just because some people don't get why the office is funny, doesn't make it therefore not funny. Just because you don't get frochs sense of humour doesn't mean some people won't find him funny.
Hahaha Froch 'haters' = Arrogant to the extreme, doesnt mean to be funny, he says what he genuinely believes Froch 'fans' = Froch is full of dry wit and humour, no more arrogance than most just a wit above 'haters' humour comprehension. Froch has always been an egotist and full of himself, certainly well before Groves came along. It seems to me his sheer belief that he is levels above Groves and everything he says will irk Groves fans (generating publicity and creating interest in his own career by those wanting to see Froch pasted). I dont find him humourous, i just think he likes to wind people up, and does this by speaking his mind.
I'm not saying groves fans are below comprehending frochs sense of humour, I'm a groves fan aswell for a start, I'm just saying some people don't get it, nothing wrong with that. I wouldn't say he is generally humorous but some things he says are obviously dry humour or sarcasm like when he said he reckoned he'd done the late great Patrick swayze proud on strictly. Then on the other hand Carl can be really arrogant which isn't great to watch, but so can groves. They're usually both fine to listen to as long as they're not talking about each other, that's when I start to cringe.
FairPlay, the man seemed to hold a better shot than Froch can, if he had big power he'd be downright dangerous.
Froch was right at the back of the queue when they handed out charisma. He is hard to like in interviews and being too serious, edgy, goofy looking with no sense of humour he makes for an awkward TV pundit. Anyone who refers to themselves in third person should have the word 'knobhead' branded on them. Why do that? Speak like a normal human being and use 'I', not third person. But hey, let's not knock the guy too hard. Let's focus on his considerable qualities - brave, relentless as they come and hard as a coffin nail. In his fights against Groves (I), Kessler (I and II) Taylor and Bute he embodies the very things I love about boxing, especially that "No matter what you throw at me, I'll get to you in the end" attitude. Love it.
Honestly, I think Froch has been rather kind on Groves since that K.O, now just imagine it was the other way round and Groves had knocked Froch out- he would be unbearable!! Groves seems to have lost some of the snap in his punches (from what I saw in this fight) he wasn't as quick or powerful for me. And Rebrasse looked pretty tough but was definitely there for the knock out. Other than that one 'shot of his life' that floored Froch in the first fight- Groves doesn't seem to show he has that power to stop top level fighters!! Tho Rebrasse could take a shot if it were Froch in there on Sat night he would have K.O'd the guy in 10 IMHO!!
Yeah, whatever you think of the man, whether you like him or more than likely think he's a ****... you can't take away from the fact he is one HARD *******.
