Carl Froch is a one time flash in the pan

I love Carl Froch as a fighter but I think that his win over Taylor was a one hit wonder.

I cannot see how he can win this tournament and I cannot see him getting past Dirrell either and I think he will lose his belt in the process.

His biggest assets are his mental toughness and grit along with chin but he has not got the tools to beat somebody who can out slick him, outspeed him and box the full 12 without tapering off at the end.

Taylor did not win but what Taylor did was pretty much good enough for 11 rounds to leave Froch needing a knockout.

If Dirrell can re-enact this same feat without running out of steam he will more than likely win it on the scorecards.

I can see Dirrell doing something similar to what Small did against Hall on Saturday.

I feel Froch's over confidence will lead him into a false sense of security when he steps in the ring to fight Dirrell.

I see him getting hit cleanly and very often and I actually predict Froch being stopped by Dirrell, you can laugh at me now but if this prediction plays itself out then dont be surprised.

Have you noticed a noticable slow down in Froch's speed because when I used to watch him when he was fighting against british opponents he seemed to be a bit quicker off the trigger.

I noticed a slow down from the Robin Reid fight onwards.
am I the only one that has noticed this.

I think Froch will get beat to the punch each and everytime against Dirrell and as much as Froch will put pressure on Dirrell I just dont see him landing anything significant.

I've seen guys like Froch get outboxed so many times. Dirrell can either stay in close and spoil and then get off with some sharp shots and then get out of there. I see him spoiling, landing some clean hard shots then getting out of there and I see Froch getting slowed from this and stopped late.

If you have seen Small vs Hall that is exactly what I envision.

 

What you got to remember is that Pascal had not done anything up to that point and almost got knocked out by Omar Pittmann in his previous fight before Froch so he was not exactly a world beater and when you think about it he still has not really fought anybody because who the hell was Diaconu, Diaconu is just a crowd pleaser, I never rated him so basically Froch and Pascal did not prove anything to me. Pascal fought a stupid fight against Froch and he just went hell for leather in there and he did not use any intelligence whatsoever. It was a crowd pleasing fight but not much in the form of real boxing execution.

Really and truly Froch was very lucky to remain undefeated, he pulled it off against Taylor but I think he will be embarressed in this tournament.

 

I just put that guy on the ignore list, he has been going around posting gay pictures on several threads.

I think he has nothing better to do with his time...
