He is like Vitali in a few ways, but there's nothing he does better than Vitali. His chin is pretty good, but he's been knocked down a few times and it isn't granite like Vitali's. His skills are a few levels below Vitali's. He has an awkward style like Vitali, but he is not nearly as effective as he doesn't have elite natural reflexes. All in all he is a good fighter, he just reminds me of a less skilled, smaller Vitali Klitschko. Feel free to add your opinions.
It's almost impossible to judge how good Vitali is. His best "win" was a loss to an out of shape Lewis who took the fight on short notice. Yes he proved he had a great chin with good skills etc, but he also proved he doesn't have the defensive capability to protect an injury which subsequently resulted in a rightful TKO loss. Ever since, the entire heavyweight division took a massive dive and became a breeding ground for overweight non-athletes who believe they're boxing professionals merely because of their size. Including the 2 Klitschko's, there's only really David Haye who, of the entire division, comes to fights in proper condition looking to showcase a professional set of boxing skills. We've not seen Vitali in the ring with anyone who possesses any kind of boxing grace, or anyone who he doesn't physiologically have a significant advantage over for a long time. For all we know, the first clean punch he eats could knock him clean out.... That's not a testament to commend how good his defence is in being able to avoid being hit, it's a testament to how utter shite the division is; that no-one has been able to land 1 clear punch on him. It's not like he's Mayweather who's just a p4p superstar, it's just everybody else is too ****ing fat/slow/small to get anywhere close. I honestly think Haye would stand a brilliant chance to beat Vit. He may have disappointed in his effort against Wlad but at least he showed some ability to avoid punches and actually land CLEAN on Wlad's chin. Froch on the other hand has the advantage of being able to compete in a competent weight class. We've seen him fight slicksters/boxers/punchers, people of greater size/weight etc and he's legitimately proven himself to be amongst the top 10 p4p. It's not that I dislike Klit, I just hate the division for being full of bone idle fat *******s. I'd love to have seen them fight the likes of Holyfield/Bowe/Holmes/Tyson etc because we might actually then have had the slightest clue how good they really are. Instead, what we get is the equivalent of me running round a primary school KO'ing the biggest 10yr olds I can find.
Stop it, your post is too reasonable and well made for many folk here to appreciate but I commend you and I totally agree :good
Froch got outclassed BADLY by Andre Ward. Vitali has never been behind on the scorecards, and never been knocked down. Froch Barely escaped a shot Jermaine Taylor... He isn't on Vitali's level.
You will find many brittards oppose you on this one. They really don't have much to talk about so Froch is glorified. Many of them have him p4p top 5... Common sense clearly wins the day on this issue though.
No he's not. He lost cleanly two times. All Klit's loses were not. Ward schooled Froch. Klit almost be a ATG in lewis. Huge difference!:deal
Hes as good as Vits, he just fights in a division with actual talent. That he chooses to fight the best over and over is much more admirable than Vits domination over second rate WBC contenders and non contenders.
Getting stopped is not almost beating an ATG. And there is so much to be said about quitting and not rematching that i could go on and on.
