Carl froch is that dude!!!!! All aboard the carl froch express!!

Oh, wise one. I bow to your boxing knowledge. Get serious, every boxing fan in the world (other than the incurably biased and nuthugging) thought Taylor was well ahead on the cards. He wilted in the second half of the fight, like he always does, but still had a sizable lead (three points is a sizeable lead). My point was that had Taylor held on, people would look at Froch in a much different way than they are now.

JT is a talented boxer no doubt but the championship rounds are of paramount importance at this level and Froch is a worthy champion as he proved as the clock ticked down

 

Get me the **** on board. Froch is the business and Dirrell is an ideal first fight before the real work begins. A trip to Berlin and Copenhagen (and by **** I am going). Dirrell will be all flash and mouth at the pressers but Froch and the snakepit are going to make it absolute ****ing hell Dirrell. He is out of his depth. He'll look good through rounds but Froch is gonna grind this mutha down and catch him from rd1 thru to about 8-9 with some sledgehammers that will eventually finish him off and like Lacy he'll never be the same.

Mon the COBRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

 

And I don't dispute any of that. I like Froch and he beat Taylor's ass when it counted. But it still doesn't change what I said, that had Taylor held on people wouldn't be looking at Froch as a favorite in this tournament. Quite the opposite.

I think you're right and wrong. People who didn't really know who he was before seeing that fight probably would have chalked him up as somebody not to bother thinking about. But I personally and I think most who've watched a lot or all of his fights would see it as an off night. You could tell he was nervous on his way to the ring and I think that it is true that that was a contributing factor to what was a very poor start.

 

Could be. I've only seen four of his fights, iirc. No point in arguing about it though. The tourament is going to answer a lot of questions about all of these guys. Some of their careers may never really recover after it if they get smoked.
