B+? A bit generous. His best win is over a shot Robin Reid, who is a C- fighter at best.

i do like froch,he has a solid chin and i like the cheeky style of leaving his left arm down to draw opponents.
but i think kessler is better.
bute v froch would be a very good fight and i think froch got a good chance of winning that one.

He has awful, awful defence. When someone steps into the ring with him, and can actually punch, he'll be looking at a KO defeat.

    Hes so overrated.

his syle is too disjointed to ever be a dominant world champion in my opinion.

he's got some talent though. :yep

Decent fighter, punches from some wicked angles, but am, as are other posters on this forum, a bit sceptical about whether he can hold it down with the elite. Time will tell. GL to him though, seems like a good bloke.

Yeah I will like to see him take on a big fight next and we will see if he has what it takes to be number 1

Robin Reid is better than C-, though you perhaps have a point as to his level at the time of his fight with Froch.

    Reid B
    Froch B

Definately better than C- in his prime, but he was shot to pieces by the time Froch got to him.

Froch is the most underrated fighter I can think of at present. Anyone who describes him as a big-mouth with poor defence, clearly isn't giving anything like a true appraisal of him. The most notable features of his fighting style are the power and accuracy of punches that can be delivered from awkward footing and from almost any angle.

On the subject of opposition, can anyone say - and mean it - that a pre-title Joe Calzaghe was fighting much better men.

I've seen Froch several times, and seen the rest of his fights on tv, right from his pro debut on the BBC.

I've been championing him on here(mainly the British forum) ever since I joined. To me, he's the real deal and will be VERY difficult to beat. The reason being he has that very elusive quality of a massive punch AND a granite chin

    Calzaghe would smash him.

Froch Is way easy to hit and a shot Robin Reid was able to put him off balance and stop him In his tracks with timed counter rights, If Reid was In his prime and didn't lose alot of his timing he would of beat Froch.

Froch has been a pro for more than 6 years and has stayed at domestic level wasting time.

Joe would be way too fast and could use his southpaw jab to pressure Froch with flurries, which wouldn't surprise me If he got a stoppage doing since he'd overwhelm Carl so much. Joe would be too elusive to get caught with that right uppercut as well, then theres the workrate which Carl Is troubled by.

Low left hand and a decent chin will only get you so far.
