Carl Froch/Lucian Bute in the UK!?

This would be brilliant and no more than Froch deserves

Might have to make a trip up to the general and eat a bit of humble pie. I did enjoy my Bute bashing while it lasted though. Good too see him make the trip out of Canada,.

Seems more likely than Bute travelling to the UK.

 

Froch has made himself IBF mandatory to force purse bids, maybe they'll put in huge bid to force Bute to come over or else he'll have to vacate.

 

Bute wanted to fight Froch, but Showtime was trying to force him to fight Dirrell who lost to Froch! Showtime did not complain about Ward fighting Froch! Bute wants to fight Ward, but Ward does not want that fight, but that is the fight everyone wants to see. Bute might be the first to stop Froch. Froch is a warrior, a fighter to admire, Bute has the skills, power, defense, stamina, etc., this is interesting fight. Froch should have fought Ward like a maniac, but he was too careful, same in the Kessler fight. Win, lose or draw, Froch is brace as Hell! Wish we had more fighters with his mind set!

This is exactly what I thought when Andrade knocked him out.

 

It's great news and a great fight but nothing to do with boxnation...it was never going to be on Boxnation unless VVarren put in a massive purse bid to steal it from under matchroom's nose.

 

I am going to this fight if it happens. If bute wins this it sets up Ward perfectly. Hope Froch wins of course. Good fight and props to Bute for coming over to defend.

 

With Froch the mandatory, Hearn winning the purse bid would mean Bute is forced to fight in the UK or else vacate his title. Doubt it would be a real marker of intent from Bute to prove himself abroad. More likely it would be Bute's arm being twisted after losing the bid, and being unwilling to give up his title.

No groveling required. Still, props to him if it goes ahead. Whatever the motivation for coming to the UK, will have my respect for squaring up against war Froch.

If it was up to Bute, the guy would never leave the Bell Centre.
