Carl Froch MBE...

Don't like him but he definitely deserves this. One of the best British boxers of our era.

 

Very deserved, especially considering AJ, Campbell and co get one for an Olympic gold, but Froch has done loads in the pro game. Should probably have come earlier, best of this generation of British fighters and one of the best of the last 20 years.

 

You know that's not the point I'm making, jesus christ. There are a lot of boxers that are technically better than Froch but there's not many better fighters than him.

 

He doesn't want to give him any credit, just ignore him.

 

I personally refuse to recognise the concept of royalty and don't see any of these awards as achievements handed out by the biggest spongers in the UK.

People get these 'awards' for simply doing their job, some in the Public Sector for only 3 years, so by default everyone can get one but 99.99% of the population cannot be ****d.

Jimmy Saville is an example of why these are non awards.

Froch's achievements in boxing will only be properly recognised when he enters the Hall Of Fame.

Froch is just a member joe calzaghe is the Commander

 

Yup, probably the only fighter who isn't already (Lewis, calzaghe) or about to (naz) be in the hall of fame who definitely will be (can't see Khan doing it and doubt Hatton will based on what he did in the ring)

 

Thoroughly deserved award, Carl Froch is one of our best ever boxers, and is a great ambassador out of the ring.

 

Like him or dislike him, it's deserved.

Validation or acknowledgement from that crowd is not something that should be a highlight of anyone's life.
