Not just with Pacquiao. Do you remember those great fights he had with Diaz and Katsidis? 2009 Ring Magazine Fight of the Year. Of course, that was coming off of his brother Rafael Marquez and Izrael Vazquez snagging fight of the year two times in a row. They fall within the time frame we're talking about and had the best series of fights of any fighters this century. Their first three fights were probably better than Gatti-Ward, Morales-Barrera, or Pacquiao-Marquez.

You throw those two into the mix with the ones I've already mentioned and the best Froch could do is 13th most exciting fighter of the last 8 years. But then you have to wonder if maybe Roman Gonzalez deserves a place ahead of him for being a knockout king and that stupendous fight he had with Estrada. Speaking of flyweights, Giovanni Segura is a KO machine, had a FOTY with Calderon, and nearly had another one with Hernan Marquez, and Hernan Marquez would be another candidate for super exciting fighters since he had that great fight with Luis Conception too.

Some people really dig Takashi Uchiyama and Akira Yaegashi's body of work for action fights as well. But the lower weights always do garner less attention than the bigger ones like super middleweight. Carl Froch is good, a top 10 p4p fighter with a proven record, who has been in some decent s****s; but I wouldn't nominate any of them for top 5 fights of their year.

I voted yes, he's normally in good fights and until recently has looked to fight the best

I wouldnt say i saw him as THE most exciting but he certainly has been exciting and in some exciting fights so he would be right up there in a list.

Most championship fights hes been in ive seen him as the lesser of the boxers but the better fighter added to great stamina, granite everything and a serious will to win making for a very interesting up to 12 rounds.

Hes turned out so much better than i ever thought he would.

Sorry I mistyped there I thought or ment to say 'as' with Marquez but left out the as. Yeah you can make a case for Marquez and Pacquio but still I think Froch has been in the most interesting number of fights this last 8 years, never dropped off from top competition accept for Mack and has had about 7 great fights and the rest have all been good too. I dont watch the lower weights, bigger division should carrymore weight in my opinion. What your your top 10 be so

Agreed, both take on the best they can get and fight toe to toe.
