Is there anyone that you can respect more than Froch?

This is a guy who didn't fight bums in his backyard for years like Hatton and Calzaghe. He has seeked out THE BEST in the world in their prime and fought them consistantly. I don't think I respect any fighter more than Froch. You can't accuse him of ducking anybody and you just know he is going to continue to fight the biggest names in their primes.

Lewis wanted the top fights. Definitely Eubank comes from the same school. Benn is another example but it is all too rare in the modern era to find the likes of Froch. We have Fury cowardly running from Price. Haye made a ***** out of himself. We had to put up with Hatton going 40-0 against the likes of Ray Oliveria, Aldo Rios etc and Calzaghe fighting the McIntyres and Mkerchians and so on. I think I have to say that Froch is the number 1 british fighter in terms of respect. He deserves so much respect that it's hard to put it into words.

Come on, up until the Pascal fight he was fighting bums in his backyard like the 2 you mentioned. Yes he has fought some the Top guys as of late but come on, I respect the hell out of Froch but this is a bit OTT for me.

These 'bums' weren't being passed off as World Level fighters though fighting for World Titles. Every fight he's had at that level has been versus somebody who was well known and a challenge for him.

Plus Magee/Reid 'bums'? Very harsh IMO. As opponents for domestic belts, they're very respectable I think.

I respect Froch more than any fighter because of his style and that he went on the road and fought everyone he had to to make his name. He is getting the exposure now and thats exactly what he deserves..
Everyone drills on about the sweet science and that is great with alot of fighters out there, but hey this sport needs people like Froch he is a slugger through and through but he has learnt how to apply it and when to box abit.. How controlled was he saturday night after round 3 straight back on his jab waiting for his moment to kick **** out of him.. :yep
Massisve respect for Froch what a warrior.. :good

Same can be said for Hatton fighting Thaxton & Phillips on the latter, My main gripe with the OP is him slagging off Hatton fighting 'bums' I wasn't slagging off Froch just pointing out the flaws in his logic.

Hatton should have stepped it up way earlier and had become a bit of a joke before the Tszyu fight for fighting the guys he fought.

    Ray Olivera - old todger
Mike "no joke" stewart (who had been done by mitchell on the undercard of...)
    Carlos Vilches
    Dennis Holbaek Pederson
    Ben Tackie
    Aldo Rios
    Vince Phillps
    Joe Hutchenson
    Stephen Smith

These were all joke fights where Hatton defended his world championship title in the MEN.

You wouldn't see Froch fighting that level of opponent. That is the level of opponent Hatton was fighting after 30 fights. Froch has just had 30 fights and look at the guys he has fought.

Look mate Froch done well to capture a quarter share of the World title v a relatively untested fighter and I was made up but IF he unified all the four major titles ( something he probably won't do ) he will come ip short of anyone who did win a genuine world title back in the day because to capture the works title back when was way harder ,

Do you think his victory on Saturday was any more respecatable than Lil Lloyd beating Curry back in the day ?
