One fighter who lost to someone who lost to Carl Froch and whose only other win at SMW was also beaten by Froch.

One fighter who twice lost to someone who lost to someone who lost to Carl Froch and whose career record at SMW now stands at 5-6.

Ahh, but you see, his rankings are based on 'talent', not what actually happens in boxing rings....

 

Why, did Glen Johnson suddenly get good? Did he suddenly turn into a power puncher? I'm comparing 'this' Glen Johnson to the guy who twice got outpointed by the overrated Chad Dawson and then by the very one-dimensional Tavoris Cloud.

OMG, he knocked out a top 20 if we're generous SMW, lets all overrate him and disregard the evidence of his entire career.

FWIW I think Froch probably loses to Abraham and has less chance with Bute and Ward. I rank boxers though on what they have actually done.

Your 'top seven' ranking contains two boxers who are effectively retired at this point and one who has no business being in the discussion.

2. Kessler
3. Dirrell
4. Froch
5. Bute
6. Abraham
7. Johnson

I've got Dirrell above Froch, as I thought he won the fight by a round. Kessler beat Froch more handily.

Bute has nowhere near the same level of opposition. IMO, all four above him have better win(s) at the weight.

 

Froch's win over Pascal is better than any other SMW so to have him 7th is
ridiculous. Ward or Bute for number 1 and 2, followed by Froch and AA at 3 and 4.

Anyway, the problem is with your argument is you diminish every Froch fight with excuses. You say "But...but...Taylor was shot :crybaby But...but...Dirrell would have won in the 'Land of the Brave' :crybaby But...but...Kessler was old and no good :crybaby But...but...Pascal was drained :crybaby"

The problem is, you can do that with every fighter. Ward's best wins are against Green, who was weight drained and infinitely worse than Pascal, Kessler who was injured and headbutted, Miranda who is a poor fighter. Then you've got Dirrell who has had two top level fights against guys he should beat and looked poor in both. He lost to Froch and beat Abraham on his back. You have Froch ranked behind Abraham, yet Abraham has one big win at 168lbs and Froch beat a better version of that fighter. You make excuses about Froch's wins, yet you can say all the same things about Bute but his opposition is far weaker.

If ANY other super middle had faced the opposition Froch had, and had the same record, you'd have him a clear number 1, I'm sure of that. Most people would. Froch clearly has the best record at super middle right now, but because he fights awkward, people refuse to believe he is number 1.

I'll let you get back to your double standards. You're a **** poster.
