The statement was Calzaghe's resume is iffier than Hatton's. That would encompass his entire resume, not just his last 5 fights - win or lose. Another few things to note, Collazo never has been superior to Lacy. He hasn't done anything except get schooled by Mosley. Lacy at least blazed a trail through crap opposition and has a punch, unlike Collazo. Calzaghe actually beat Kessler, whilst Hatton made friends with the ringpost that night. Even if Hatton gets credit for taking a huge payday to fight the p4p #1 as people seem to think, its laughable to put this as superior to actually winning and unifying a division against an unbeaten foe. Kessler, Eubank, Hopkins, Reid, Lacy. Match up the names on Hatton's resume. You can even get into the second tier of opposition such as Woodhall, Mitchell and Brewer if you like.
Exactly. I mean, I've no doubt Carl respects Amir & vice-versa. In boxing, you respect your fellow peers, especially those from the same land as yourself. I'd put money on it that those comments were thought of by Hennessey sports, not Carl Froch himself. It should be noted that Froch is promoted by Hennessey & Khan is promoted by Sports Network. The two companies do not exactly see eye to eye.
Either way TFFP I think BB was just making the point in his post that these were commonly percieved faults with the boxers in question.
I am uptight today, I spilt coffee literally all over my desk and a little bit even went on my new shirt The resumes should not be compared, even if its what perceived. Hatton's is horrific after Tszyu. Joe Calzaghe would not wipe his arse with Hatton's resume if it was printed on the only toilet roll left at the shop in newbridge.
it was a load of shite before Tszyu too. Not 1 guy in the top 10 at 140 at the time he fought them. I was a bit surprised Hatton turned out to be better than a WBU turkey.
**** you, those letters big enough for you? If you are going to name call at least have the balls to make it readable. As for the Tweedledoo reference its from Alice in Wonderland, not really an age thing.
Massive exaggerations don't make your point more valid. His resume after Tszyu is 3 or 4 bona fide belts collected across 2 weights, an early blowout of Castillo, and a fight with the p4p no.1 on the planet, in his prime. It's not 'horrific' and there are only a handful of fighters in the world who could claim to have had a better run across the last 4 years. I'm fully aware that some of those belts were not collected against top opposition, there has been cherry picking going on, and he lost all ends up to Floyd. But it's still decent. Whereas 'horrific' is just way over the top.
You are a ****ing child TFFP, you've admitted it yourself in the first sentence and proved it with the 'wanker' bit !!!
