Carl Froch on Twitter about Bute fight: not likely to be May 5th

Froch want May ,Bute Want April! there's too much good fight on May 5th to get a good TV deal IMO. Maybe Showtime is finally intersted??

shocker...a big fight thats almost there now put off to the fall while we are still in the winter

 

Hope Carl gets a fight in England by May.

 

I am sure Hearn and Interbox have been busy crunching numbers to get the most possible money out of this.

If it aint in May, Carl's stadium seems out of the question.....which then leaves Montreal and Bute's stadium for April.

This may be good news, perhaps Showtime is gaining interest and would rather put on a great show in NA, EST, that they could actually make money on.

But......I think there will be strings attached, like perhaps a 2 fight extension for Bute and Froch. :think

It would be stupid to make it on May 5 with Mayweather-Cotto taking over the night.

 

Why, if its in England and Showtime won't pick it up anyways? HBO won't either.. so.

 

It would steal a lot of attention out of it, that was my point. Though I didn't know that SHOWTIME won't host in England.

 

Its not that they don't want England, its that they don't want Froch-Bute, they want Bute vs. a top American fighter, preferably in AMERICA. Bute don't want to do it.

 

If Ward was coming off a loss then Bute would be all over it.

Look at Mendy, he got dropped out COLD and Bute was up for that fight like a heroin addict is for heroin.
