Have just joined the forum because I'm fed up of the nonsense written about Froch on this site.

To end all discussions, firstly he is the WBC World Champion. So he can hardly be rubbish can he? There is no arguing with this.

Did Froch hide in the UK to protect his belt? No. He took an immense challenge in Taylor in his own back yard and won. Of course, he was nervous and in the beginning of the fight and made some mistakes. Round 8 onwards he was in complete control. I was there. I know! Even the yanks around me said so.

All of these ignorant comments that he has no defense and no technical ability are just rubbish. Yes he does get caught occassionally as does any boxer. Just because he doesn't fight in a classical way doesn't mean he doesn't have a defense. He has his style and get's caught with very few clean shots. The knock down against Taylor hit him on the top of head and he lost balance. Fact!

He is a monstrous puncher and other boxers just can't handle it.

I think he can still improve a lot. He didn't get his combinations off against Taylor (who had an impressive defensive ability I might add).

He's not perfect Froch but cut the man some slack. He won an amazing fight in very difficult circumstances against a world class opponent.

They say true champions always find a way to win. That's Froch in a nutshell.

    End of.

Clearly Jeff M has seen the light, given his old alias the ritual suicide it deserves and turned over a new leaf.

I disagree. He has no defense and no technical ability. He got lucky in that fight. If Taylor would have boxed he would have easily won it.
