He's not as good as Haye, Haye's got the same style but much quicker and actually became no1 in his division, Froch has never done that

That MW/SMW division was the best it's ever been then though, Froch might not have grabbed a belt back then.

I rate Joe Calzaghe higher than Froch, and that's without even giving any thought to who else might fit the bill.

He did 'school' a 12-fight novice in his home gym, only to then be knocked clean out...

He is looking to draw Joe out of retirement but if he is just talking Nottingham and about. Joe Calzage beats him all day long and Ken Buchanan was an excellent fighter. Froch is a tough ******* but there were many good British fighters. I like Froch but no way he beats Calzage

I agree, and it's also embarrassing how many people rave about some present day fighters, or just retired ones. I respect Froch for his willingness to fight anyone, but don't rate him historically. I don't rate Calzaghe either. He has a great "paper" record that doesn't stack up well under scrutiny.

    ^^^ This

Boxers know F A about the past because the Media know F A about it too.

they never make beautiful comparisons with pictures or films of past greats. they could really boast up the sport with televised little pieces & features of great fighters, even from a fighters home turf just for interest, which I have said would make for far more interesting viewing. bringing in fans and just reminding people who was who and how great these fighters really were and how great the sport was at one time!

simple hundreds better than Carl and he is a credit to British boxing and Boxing today!

For the title of greatest boxer from Nottingham, he is up against William Bendigo.
