Over at the scene, still sounds bitter that he isnt widely recognised in Britain, says he would still keep one house here and visit occasionally but would base himself over there, Personally i think it would be a **** move, doesnt come off well in the interview tbf.

There can not be any doubt Carl Froch is our best PP fighter over the last 10 years, dont really blame him for moving to America if thats where the money is :good

Would be a fairly strange decision: he hasn't got too long left in his career and its not like he is exactly a household name in the states either.

he has a decent following in the UK, a fairly regular and cushy job on skysports boxing broadcasts, plus doesn't he have quite a lot of property interests?

fair play to him though. his choice. if i was in his position i suppose i would be miffed that i don't get the recognition that i deserve.

Cost of living in the US is a lot less, it's nice weather, Showtime may offer him work as a commentator after the S6 is over...

I heard he's the best at 168 right now. Ward, Kessler and Froch are all ducking him.

Living there would increase his chances of becoming a household name over there, and that's where the money is. I doubt that he manages his property himself, anyway, that will be done for him, so where he lives will be irrelevant to his property portfolio. Sky won't be paying him much money, to him, they just can't do it. And should he choose to relocate back over here when he is finished with fighting, I'm sure he'd be welcome back as a guest/pundit on whichever network is showing boxing here, then, anyway.

So if he fancies the idea of living in the US more than living here - and it is quite a different society, so easy to see how some would prefer one, others the other - he has no personal restriction. He is one of those lucky people who can do what they want about that sort of stuff!

i agree its not ilke he'll be banished from great britain, and the money showtime would give him probably edges it over being in a studio with adam smith once or twice a month

on a side note, i think he is quite hands on with his property portfolio almost as a hobby i think, but then again its not like that cant be managed for him over here, and im sure he can afford to bu property int he us if he so chooses

It's his call but it's too late to have a significant effect on career or profile IMO.
