I really hope he doesn't comeback, the Cobra of Nottingham had a great career, which ended very well with the two victories over Groves, I want to remember him like this.

Left it a bit late. Said he didn't have the fire on the bag in his garage back at 38 or whatever it was.
Maybe he got the fire back after talking to AJ, who definitely got his fire back.
It's an interesting experiment anyway if he does it.
    Old Froch versus Fat Groves.

Never rely on a punching bag session to determine if a guy is fit for fighting. From experience, they all look great against a punching bag, even a finished junkie with minimal talent looks amazing.

    No No No.
His biggest strength, was his fitness, chin and stamina with a good dose of power as well. He might still hit hard, and he's probably in good nick for a 47-year-old, but there is no way his chin and fitness will be as good.

Say what you want about Paul - he's a fairly crap boxer but he does have a bit of zip on the right hand. He's probably bigger than Carl and clearly on something.

I really want a proper fighter to spark this lad out and shut him and his circus out but he's picking the right guys, Furys not that good and a part time celeb boxer and now JCC jnr who was only good for a short spell when he could be based and probably been coked up for years.

To me something about him hitting the bag here seems off. Doesn't look too impressive compared to what I have seen from his awesome fights. Is it just me?

Maybe something like he pushes his balance a bit too much to the front, but also his breathing coordination with his punches? Something tells me that he doesn't hit very hard here (for a boxing professional - some are just arm punches, the rest of the punches don't have a lot of his hips in them) but still won't be able to step back in time from a counterpunch... so to me this basically looks like he is fitness-boxing and not like a showcase of any kind of fighting prowess...

And somehow the effortless power I saw in his fights seems to be missing. You could see it in his stance alone back then.
