Hard to imagine based on the one fight I saw against Dirrell but that's just my opinion,so will he hold up to the top fighter's?:huh
i think he's a ko waiting to happen. but, it hasnt happened yet and his body of work is better than the others. my god is aa gonna pound him. so will kessler if kess has anything left
His resume is impressive and he hasn't really been around that long. Also got a good KO percentage, a title, a zero in the loss column, and a hot girlfriend. P4p he isn't anything special, but the man finds a way to win, and that's to be respected. When he loses (probably in his next two fights) he'll naturally fall in the rankings, but as of right now it'd be pretty easy to argue that he should be ranked even higher than he already is.
Right now, based on accomplishments compared to the other top guys at 168, Carl Froch should be rately fairly high. If Kessler can return to form, he should knock Froch out. I think AA will knock him out too. And, Pavlik and Bute would both hand him his ass. But none of those fights has happened yet, so right now, Froch is near the top of the heap.
Froch looked like **** against Dirrell. He just couldn't deal with Dirrell's movement. He had absolutely no idea how to cut a ring. He just followed Dirrell around while swinging wildly. He looked like a fool (and Dirrell fought like a scared *****). Luckily, Froch as the opportunity to redeem himself against Kessler. Mikkel is a much more classic fighter. He stands tall, right in front of you and works the classic 1-2 all night long. Froch won't have to look for Kessler. He'll be in front of him all night.
Pretty much. I think Froch deserves his current ranking based on his wins combined withe the fact that the division is on the rise with no single fighter emerging over the others as of yet. However, despite his grit and guts, I expect Froch to begin losing sometime soon. He was fairly lucky to win each of his last 2 fights, and unless he decides to hide behind his belt(which he does not seem the type to do), he will keep fighting good opponents. Out of the top 4 guys, in no order, Froch, AA, Ward, Bute, I expect Froch to be the one that fades out the quickest. But, the dude has made his career so far proving guys like me wrong, so, you never know.
Froch beats Bute and Pavlik all day. Pavlik is nothing special above 160 and Bute has never fought anyone I would consider A-level.
