No, you going overboard with smileys tell another story. It's called over compensating for shortcomings.

You're just angry and making a BIG deal outta one name I listed, so you take it personal and start calling me names because you really just don't know. Again, I never said he was great. Yet you respond in that manner. Maybe you need a bottle and a nap..you're obviously cranky. Maybe a diaper change as well...

    rudy markussen...a "prominent name"?

rudy markussen: "top ranked contender".

by fighting the mighty rudy markussen?

wait...rudy markussen? who had him "highly ranked"? who were all these "top ranked" boxers at 168 he faced? ron johnson? mpush makambi? brad ekstam?

ok...ok...sorry...i take it back...calzaghe didn't "clean out the division". the spectre of rudy markussen casts too long a shadow over his reign.

on his deathbed he'll probably be asked if he has any regrets...& he'll say:

"i wish i had faced rudy markussen when i had the chance...i don't know if i would have won...but everyone will always know...they'll always know how scared i was of the man...no...the legend...rudy 'hardhitter' markussen..."

You seemed threatened sir. Don't worry, Froch hasn't passed Calzaghe yet and never will be better though can become great but I see Ward doing that but lets find out in time. As of now, Calzaghe is still the best SMW though the division doesn't belong to him anymore. Kessler(assuming he goes back), Froch, Ward and even Bute make sure this division is still hot in modern times and give us great fights. Time to move on pal.

    :nono

i was only talking about him because you brought him up & said calzaghe didn't face him & should have...you twice said that calzaghe's resume would have been improved by facing him before i even posted on this thread.

rudy markussen...the gap on calzaghe's resume.

Good insight. Calzaghe had a tough time himself against Bika but beat him better than Ward and Calz best opponent(win) in Kessler is still around possibly giving another great fight or two at SMW. Wards best wins are Calz leftovers but no shame in that as they were solid showings from Ward and solid opponents for him.

They were in diff divisions and didnt have to face each other. I would've faulted Joe had he not faced Lacy or Kessler which he did and put up impressive showings. As said Ottke wanted to get his gifts in Germany but not said is that without each other, Hops is still a MW great and Joe is the SMW greatest. Props to both legends.

Jones, Calzaghe, and Hopkins were making their legacies in different divisions elsewhere. Joe didn't have to face Hopkins in the first place but he did. In his own turf but still to this day gets no credit for that it seems. Me defending him so much recently is really making him grow on me.

The OP doesn't:lol:. Happen to respect both Cal and Froch myself.
