Carl Froch says George Groves QUIT!

Say what you like about Froch, but he is 100% honest in his opinion there, why should we be critical of him for telling the truth?

 

It just appeared a little petty and gratuitous. He had absolutely no need to go there, he'd done all his talking in the ring a long time ago and made his point well. Then here he was years later sticking the boot in, why? Probably because he can't help himself.

It doesn't bother me, I find it amusing and in another's culture that kind of brutal honesty and overt egotism would be celebrated, but British culture has traditionally required some level of humility from a victor and respect for ones vanquished opponenents and when people don't buy into that they will draw some criticism. Whether that's justified or not depends on where you place humility in your value set...

 

Froch is an idiot, I think he's just bitter he was never loved by the British public despite his great achievements.

His punditry and commentary now is nothing short of a joke. Shocking yet again at the weekend.

I wonder if Froch has even watched the fight... He doesn't come across to me as someone who loves the sport or sits and watches other fights etc.

Probably why every single fight he watches is a "10-10 round"

 

KKK members are just being honest about their feelings, should we not be critical of them either?

 

Tbh I prefer Froch like this at least he has his opinions and has been there and done it, it does make me laugh though he beat someone twice yet still seems to harbour such a hate for them, it's as Groves had his kryptonite psychological

I remember Scott Harrison's final fight before his decline when he took everything out of Michael Brodie with a cracking body shot - don't know if anyone would have recovered from that shot in 3 mins never mind 10 secs.

Froch must have that one down as Brodie quitting as well.

 

Totally agree mate. I’ve heard fighters say they’d rather take a shot to the head than a shot to the body. He doesn’t half talk some tripe at times that lad.
