“AJ needs to fight. We’ve got Hrgovic-Mckean on the undercard. This could save the show. If Hrgovic can actually agree to fight AJ and AJ fancies the job, that’s a great fight. Hrgovic is a very, very capable fighter and he will give Anthony Joshua a great test, he really would. If AJ is happy with the Hrgovic fight then I think the fans are going to win there. McKean will have to take step-aside money, nobody is going to be too upset about McKean not fighting. Let’s be honest AJ-Hrgovic, that would be a fight that we would want to see, so hopefully that one can be a show saver, but let’s wait and see what happens, I’m not so sure AJ would fancy that. Hrgovic would be a real acid test for AJ before he steps on to bigger and better things. I’ll be honest that is probably a better fight than the Dillian Whyte fight, hopefully that can happen, if it does I’ll be there, if it doesn’t and they get some late pony replacement, I’ll be honest I’m not that interested.”
Froch is right but, it's way to risky unfortunately. If AJ did take on Flip, he'd get massive props from the whole boxing community and would be a cracking fight for the boxing purists, while the casuals would be sold on AJ facing off against a younger and fresher VK clone.....shame really. I'd be up for the Bounty Hunter stepping in which again would be a serious test for AJ and Hunter has been in camp with AJ so would be more than ready.... Shame again unfortunately. My money is on Gerald Washington.....ho hum.
Gerald Washington is easier to market to the casuals (who make up 90% of PPV money). American Giant black guy Looks the part and isn't some blob
Froch making sense for a change... However no way. Too risky for last minute match making. This isnt the UFC
You think yanks are that interested in this fight? Most brits who will buying the fight probably k ow more about Hrgovic or atleast no nothing about either of them.
At this point, the only two boxers I give a **** about Anthony Joshua fighting are Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder. While we're young, gentlemen, while we're young.
