I was just reading on sporting life and apparently froch said the hometown decisions in the super six have been a discrace :huh
 Froch - Dirrell Meh he should look at the punch-stats for his fight with Kessler it was close but NO robbery whatsoever, the right man won without a doubt.
For the most part, I don't buy it in to this 'hometown' nonsense crap when the judges are international. For me, if the judges for the Dirrell fight had been Parris, Foster and Lewis then maybe Dirrell would have had more of an argument. As such, a close fight went against him. If the judges for the Kessler fight had been danish, Froch might have had an argument but they weren't. Plus it wasn't even a disputed decision, most people had Kessler winning. I find it very hard to believe foreign judges are influenced by who their hosts are (unless they are bent, natch) in such important world title bouts. I am a big fan of Froch, but he is coming across as a hypocritical crybaby.
Carl Froch is an idiot. Kessler beat him, fair and square, I've not seen anyone other than Froch suggest otherwise, frankly. And one of the worst, if not the worst, home town decision I've seen was Froch-Dirrell.
I've seen far worse home town decisions than Froch vs Dirrell. I was in a decent seat in the arena and had Froch winning just, most people sat near me had Froch winning easy because Dirrell was constantly running and holding. The past 18 months has seen foreign fighters get their fair share of generous decisions over here (Thaxton vs Mezaache, Dilks vs Adamu etc) so a close one was bound to go our way eventually. Froch vs Kessler was pretty close, watched it twice and had Kessler edging him out both times......
What makes these coments by Froch all the more ridculous is that if you were forced to pick a possibly dodgy decision it would be Froch/Dirrell. Although I had Froch winning this I'm clearly in the minority-most people feel Dirrell was unlucky. Nothing wrong with the Kessler/Froch result.
Yep, I'm a yank...and I had it 114-113 froch over dirrell.... However, Carl is talking mostly crap here...
Froch is a ****in ****. The **** said that he would retire if he loses again. The **** is like a ****in child.
Froch/Kessler was a lot closer than Froch/Dirrel IMO. This latest outburst from Froch has come at a bad time for him. I think,he was slowly changing 'haters' opinions on him ,now he's back to square one.
There was a poll on here the morning after the Kessler fight and the last time I checked it, over 100 people had cast their votes and about 80% thought Kessler won. This was in the Brit forum by the way, not the general. Dirrell takes a lot of flak on here but if anyone has a right to have a moan it's him. If any decision was a "disgrace" it was his fight with Froch which still leaves a bitter taste. There have been much worse decisions than that but it doesn't make it any less wrong. People blame Mick Hennesey, blame ITV, and anything else but the thing is this. The guy is just not likeable. He Makes it very easy for people to hate on him. He goes about his career in the right way, he fights everyone and takes risks. This get's him respect but because of his personality he'll always have haters. It's different to people like Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather has haters too but he plays it differently.
Seems even Froch is getting a bit pissed off with Hennessy reading todays Boxing News. First time I've heard anything like that from Froch, he's normally fully behind Mick
