Ward will give Froch the same boxing lesson he gave to Kessler. The only real competition for Ward will be Glen Johnson.
Oh surely nobody doubts that. IF Froch lands cleanly on Ward, he WILL hurt Ward. It will make a great Super Six final. Froch has a hard fight to get through first though, and Abraham always has a chance to put Ward to sleep IF he lands.
My money says Froch has had way more than 4 consecutive fights at home so again whats your point about Ward fighting at home?
My point is you don`t know what your talking about. You made a statement Froch had fought exclusively at home before the Taylor fight. WRONG. Hope that`s finally registered. Everyone else in the Super 6 has had to travel while p*ssy Ward hasn`t. He`s pathetic.
Because every else has had to travel in the Super Six bar Ward, who's fought not only in the US each time, but in his own hometown in Oakland. And he's been fortunate with the fact he's faced B- level replacement Green and was gifted 2 points through Dirrell's withdrawal. Yes Froch has had more 4 or so fights in a row in his backyard aswell, but not at the top level. In fact having faced Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell, Kessler and now Abraham, he's been at home for less than half those fights, having been in one guy's home-country, another's home-town and a 'neutral' territory. He's traveled when it comes to fighting the best around, Ward hasn't yet. Which wouldn't be as bad, but every has traveled in the Super Six and was expected to. Taylor had to go to Germany, Abraham the US and then 'neutral' ground, Froch to Denmark and then 'neutral' ground, Kessler to the US in Ward's hometown, Dirrell had to come over here. And the only one who hasn't traveled is Ward.
I don't agree with any of this Froch beating Ward nonsense that is going on here. I do agree that Ward is a spoiler, and uses dirty tactics, but I just don't see how Froch will be able to find Ward. Just because Ward fought on the inside for his last two fights, it doesn't mean he is a inside fighter. Ward will implement a stick and move and the hold pattern, and Froch will be too slow to catch him. I will be definitely betting a little more than usual on this fight(if it happens), no problems here for Ward. Doesn't Froch have to fight Johnson next? I don't think that fight is as easy as you might think, Johnson is really strong and experienced too.
I agree. I think Ward is too quick for Froch to be able to mount much of an offense, but if Ward tries to fight exclusively on the inside he may be in for a rude awakening with Froch who I think will be more than happy to get rough himself. Probably a good fight, but I see Ward's speed and versatility being the difference in a solid UD.
There were 4 undefeated fighters going into the Super6 Tourney, there remains only one and his name is Andre Ward, Ward beat the guy who was the favorite going into the tourney and Froch lost to the same guy (Kessler), with that i think he deserves to fight at home, Wards team has the negotiating power to get his fights at home i doubt any fighter declines that. I haven't even heard of Froch until the Jean Pascal fight, so he may have been to the states before the Taylor fight i was wrong but my point is he's definitely fought the majority of his fights at home just like numerous other boxers, my thing is people who don't like a certain fighter will find anything to talk down on said fighter and the sad thing is this Ward fights at home to much is just some petty, knittpicking ****.
Cant call ward a ***** because he is getting home advantage, any boxer would gladly like to have home advantage all the time. I'm british, I support froch, he is a very decent quality boxer. But I see ward win this on UD because he is quicker, versatile and well capable of using spoiling tactics to get the win.
Again how is this Ward's fault he's just the fighter, he doesn't assign the venue, so why hate Ward, talk about the promoters, both parties have to agree on the venue aswell as the fighters, Wards, first fight was Kessler and he just so happened to get that fight at home, no harm there, next Green comes in for Taylor who is also from the states and as a replacement he doesn't really warrant the right to fight in his backyard. Now comes Bika who is not only a fight outside of the Tourney, but isn't a Champion or a major name who's fighting a bigger name in Ward, so with Bika not actually the elite i'm fine with that fight also being in Wards hometown, i'm sure the major venues weren't an option anyway, so all the Wards threads popping up is madness really.
