Well maybe. In an interview of him in UK Boxing Monthly he said, rather proudly, that they'd managed to get 6,000 people to jam into the Ice Arena, but it goes on to say the Arena's capacity is 9,000. lol.

Classic. With numbers like that I can't figure out why Jermain didn't want to get his passport out :rofl

  5. Well Calzhage struggled to even fill the Cardiff ice rink until the lacy fight... And that was his what??? 19th defence of his WBO trinket.

Froch is a refreshingly honest boxer

  7. Exactly right.... You need a loud mouth to get far in boxing, Boxing is a a mean business you need to stand out in the crowd

Yes good point, I remember seeing empty arenas for the Eubank, Ried, Mitchell, Woodhall, Brewer and Sheika fights :patsch

  9. Yeh because i'm sure he was the main draw against Eubank..... He even admits that he was struggling to fill the Cardiff Ice rink up until the Lacy fight.

It matters not as I would also be proud if i could pull 6/7,000 just to see me fight

Froch is a plodding clubfighter. He has not fought one top 10 opponent either, and he is almost 32 years old.

    It's too late for him.

Calzaghe has fought opponents who were lesser than Froch during his reign but I don't think Froch had (nor has to date) got to the stage where he's in a position to start demanding a shot. If Calzaghe wanted to give him one it would have been an OK fight, but Froch hadn't got much (besides being British) to make him stand out from the crowd.

  12. Well he didn't become a pro until 24.... And I'm sure Pascal was in the top 10 in the WBC rankings otherwise it wouldn't be a Title match would it

That is true and to be fair to Froch he was meant to fight Inkin, who was top10 at the time, but Inkin kept pulling out.

People from England are dissing Froch.I can see why Froch is acting silly with his mouth ripping of Taylor and Calzaghe, but hey Calzaghe`s retired but Froch could be dare i say the next big name now.Having said that he`ll probably get flattened by Kessler or Taylor but he`s Britains new world champ now, come on, we need to stay competitive, lets see what happens.

Froch is an amusing character. To listen to him you can hear he is an intelligent man, and his delivery when talking this kind of trash is excellent.

Unfortunately as a fighter he's not as impressive as his words.
