The way I view Froch is thus, speaks his mind, doesn't give a **** what anyone thinks. To a certian extent good on him. He knows it won't get him over with a lot of fans but as I stated, he doesn't care. I kinda respect that element of the guy. What I really admire about him is already he's gunning for big opposition, no messing around. All of us that appreciate Calzaghe feel he should have had more big fights, in Froch we have a guy that win, lose or draw is always going to be out there hunting for the biggest fight possible.

Nothing Froch says about Calzaghe is trash talk.

Calzaghe is one of the top ten SMW ever to grace the squared circle - FACT

Froch has/had no option but to call Calzaghe out if he wants to fight him. He needed to get the fight into the fans imaginations. Otherwise he'd have even less chance of facing Joe.

Froch is as yet untested at the highest level but in my opinion (and ill be in the minority here) has the skills to beat and perhaps even stop a Jermain Taylor, who although has wins against Hopkins and that draw with Wright isnt the man he was.

All this JT will 'destroy' Froch is typical American 'we're superior to eveyone else' bollocks. If American fighters are so great why do none of them have the testicles to come over to Old Blighty and test themselves? The only 'top' ones i can recollect are Jeff Lacy and Gerald McClellan and look what happened to them.

I cant wait to see what happens when Froch checks Taylors whiskers. You'll all be crying into your Big Mac and Fries.

He's done and excellent job of selling himself and using Calzaghe's name. What I did find strange though was that Froch said that the overseas property company who he is now sponsored by were recommended to him by JC. Seems hard to imagine them sitting down and having a nice chat about sound proprty investments given the insults that have been exchanged.

He needs to let Joe go and start talking about what he brings to the table more not what Joe used to.
As I say Froch is a very good boxer and i support him but this shits getting old

I second that. He's in danger of dropping some of his new fanbase if he keeps this bollocks up.

froch is funny as hell, he has a way with words thats hilarious. there is no bull**** from that man, he couldnt give a ****, about stepping on someones toes, if he feels the way he feels, he will let you know and then so be it.

im a dane and kessler fan, but sometimes find him boring, but froch with his natural arrogance, well you just know your going to be entertained.., it just comes natural to him, its not an act like mayweather..

you gotta give credit where its deserved, he is excellent at shittalking, the next step would be to beat taylor, i would certainly look forward to his post fight interview then, i imagine him and merchant would hit it of:yep

Froch is great for the sport of boxing. He talks the talk, and has the balls to at least attempt to walk the walk. For his 1st defence he wants to take on the no.1 and without question the ‘stand out’ man in the WBC rankings, and go into his backyard to do it as well. There are plenty of easier options available, but Froch will try to back up his big gob. And if the same JT who fought Lacy shows up against Froch, then Froch will (to use his own words) ‘smoke his boots’.

The most refreshing thing about Froch is that he never blows smoke up anyone’s ass. Despite knowing Audley quite well from the amateur day’s he didn’t hesitate to label him a joke for his latest comments after another defeat.

The majority of boxing fans are rightly critical when the big fights don’t get made. But still some posters want to criticise Froch for calling out some of the best in the division. Make your minds up!!

Considering Merchant just inked a new 2 year deal with HBO and Taylor/Froch will be on Showtime, I don't think he'll be doing the post fight interview... :tong

All credit to Froch for seeking the big fights as he is relatively inexperienced at the top. I tremains to be seen if he can walk the walk at the top. He was pushed all the way by Jean Pascal and had great trouble dispossing of Brian Magee. Could his trash talk simply be an attempt to get in the big money fights before its 2 late. At 31 its a possibility imo. Nonetheless i believe that a fight with Taylor would be very interesting.

Froch is about the payday with Taylor. Why else would he even consider the accepting less money than Taylor? It will still be his biggest payday by far I think. No one seems to know what he has made in the past, or they are unwilling to post it. It will also be his last big payday when Taylor is through with him.

I already liked Froch. He is kind of local for me and I watched most of his fights on Sky on Friday fight night on his way up.He is honest atleast.Speaks his mind which some like some don't.When I heard him make this comment,I got a whole new level of respect for him.Glad he is finally getting a big name into the ring albeit kicking and screaming:yep
