the problems is that Froch cant choose is opponents he got 2 mandantory defense for is first 2 fight as a champion. So he can call all the divisions he got no choice to fight taylor exept if JT dosnt want that fight!

After those 2 mandantories lets see who he will call if is still got the stap.
and if JT-Froch happens i dont think Froch should botters with his second mandatory!

Froch is a tremendous trash talker.

"Pascal's team better remember to carry his ******* into the ring. Because when he hears the roar of the Nottingham faithful from his changing room, it will drop out and roll under the chair".

"I wouldn't say im the best Super middleweight in the world... but i'm definitely in the top 1 ".

    hahaha.

A WBC Champion is only obligated to make one mandatory defence per year. Not 2 in a row, first defence or not, where did you get this? I'm curious as I may be wrong. (If I am the rules on the WBC website are wrong). Taylor IS the mandatory opponent but Froch can have a warm up and then fight Taylor, if Taylor wants the fight which it hasn't looked like purely for financial reasons, can't blame the guy. But he's going straight for him.

:goodThis one is from the great Brian Clough and shouldn't be repeated.

Other than that Froch is very original with his talk and its very witty and seems to be very well thought out and he is clearly quite intelligent with it

i remember have heard this before the Pascal fight , since they were fightin for a vacant belt the WBC got a rule that the winner have to fight 2 mandantory.

i cant be 100% sure so dont take my word for granted but i was sure enough to post it! ill try to find were i see this.

You are correct. For winners of a vacant WBC title, 2 immediate mandatory defenses are required.

I don't dislike Froch. From the one fight I have seen, he has suspect boxing skills. I think he knows this is his best chance at a big pay day. He is 30? Not young in boxing years. Only 24 fights at this point? Suspect. I really believe he thought he could walk away from this fight with a million or more for his retirement. I think that is what is dragging out the negotiations. Taylor has already announced plans to move on. There have been many posts pointing out that he probably won't make the money you think he will. I don't really know. I think HE knows the situation. Taylor will be the biggest money fight he can get, but it isn't a retirement package.

I am not criticising Froch for going for Taylor my point is that he is not doing it purely for honour or to beat the best out there etc as some think. The risk reward for Froch is very good here imo. Better than 3-4 mandatories IMO money wise.
If he wins against the faded taylor then everyone wants to fight him and his value increases a lot.
If he loses he will still be a ranked contender with a shot at titles not too far away.

Froch is 31 so he is starting out pretty late as a champ compared to calzaghe so he needs to move fast and try to secure the bigger fights and paydays while he can.
I dont see how he can turn down a fight with taylor if the chance was there.

My point on the list was that he SHOULD fight JT because I dont think that he can make the same money from 1-2 defences against that top 10 list.
I think he may (depending on pricing) be able to sell out 10-12,000 arena but I would not bank on it.
Calzaghe and Naz eventually sold out arena's after exposure which I dont think Froch has at the moment.
I think in the UK fans will generally follow the homefighter no matter who they fight (as long as the price is not too high/the opponent not too poor) so it could boil down to does Froch have 10,000 fans backing him I dont think he does. Also factor in the credit crunch.

I will go and read back I think I might have missed something :D
