Froch has a good chin but I wouldn't say it's granite. His recovery abilities and willpower are what make him truly great, at least for a British fighter.

its not A+ but its an B+/A.
Its his overall durability, stamina and ever-present power. Plus his recovery is insane.
Would love to see him against GGG.

It's a shame that Floyd doesn't have the same granite heart as Froch.

People on this thread are hilarious. All I've heard is he's been hurt or some sort, they don't mention that these boxers are top world class boxers who have very good power. Not a huge fan of Froch but you can't dispute his chin. The punishment he took from Groves in the first fight would have finished off the majority of the SMs in the division period. Also it's not just about a chin, it's the heart that goes with it. Froch is a boxing warrior and he will go down as one.

He does have a granite chin but he's not immovable

I've seen him put down From groves + Taylor

Wobbled by Reid, Kessler, Dirrell and I'm sure Abraham wobbled him in the 12th

    Floyd's defence, not his jaw.

He barely lets anyone hit him in the jaw. Froch's defence is his jaw. The left hook Kessler KO'd Green with, Froch let him land that many a time in their second fight.

    Solid proof right there
He uses a face first defence and never been stopped that is granite chin criteria

That pretty much closes this thread. The shots Froch took in that round would have taken out pretty much any SM. Groves literally threw everything in a few shots and he was still standing. Some were monstrous punches too, big big shots flush on Frochs chin and side of his head. Extraordinary stuff from Froch. Whats even funnier is how Froch turned it right at the end and caught a tiring Groves with a few peaches. Classic round of boxing.

    Certified granite.

Mayweather and Vitali chins are not what they're made out to be.
One is defensive genius who barely gets hit, the other is giant who's opponents are either out of shape or simply to short to get close to his chin.

never seen floyd take continiously huge shots one after the other, his reactions usually put him back to a defensive posture, on his bike, or to hold on. thats the best way to react to a hurtful shot, not continue trying to battle it out like froch does. but froch's chin is battle hardened.
