I see wjat similarities your talking about but Froch will have to go for a long time and keep facing tough fighters without a loss until he can be classed the same as Marciano. So far so good though. On the other hand maybe we think Froch looks untidy because we're used to watching our prospects/champs being hand fed bums and Carl has faced some of the best in his division therefore he hasnt looked as good as say..Khan did vs Salita
Exactly, Im not comparing the two in terms of skill or greatness, im just saying that Froch often gets a real grilling for his lack of finesse yet that never stopped Marciano from becoming a legend. Its early days for Froch but I dont think he deserves the flack he gets and I wouldnt go counting him out the way some do.:good
Again, The Rock was far better technically than Frochy. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9b0yHvw-vW0[/ame] Watch some Marciano instead of going with the crowd. He was NOT an unskilled slugger. Also, Marciano fought Charles, Moore, LaStarza (x2) Walcott (x2) and Joe Louis. THAT's how he became a legend, not by squeeking past Andre Dirrell.
Froch won't make 30 fights undefeated, his style is dependent on his punch resistance. Which wasn't too great in the Dirrell fight. At least Rocky had some form of defense.
What d'ya mean? That Monzon wasn't skilled? If so you're blind. He's the greatest 160lber of all time.
Man people love throwing **** at Froch. The guys not exactly Sweet Pea but he's not the brawling no skills chump people make him out to be.
If he keeps winning, yeah, he will get more respect, but because of his personality he's gonna have to do some extra special **** to be really loved. I can't see him staying undefeated for too long. JT was beating him and Froch left it very, very late. Dirrell outclassed him and most people including me think Froch was very lucky to get the decision but how many times is he gonna get lucky like that? His attributes have taken him a long way but against the divisions best sooner or later he's gonna come up short because of his lack of skills. Unofficially he has one loss one his record. He wants to fight the best, gotta respect that, he aint ducking or dodging no one. This is how all boxers should go about their career. Still not a fan though cuz he's an *******. My boy King Arthur is gonna win this super 6!
No of course, same with Monzon. But not many fighters will come out well when compared to two legit ATGs.
