No. It was a bit of fun. Nothing pointless about that but humour doesn't seem to be your strong point. A forum isn't supposed to "work" in any predefined way. That makes you sound very insular and closed to change. This thread isnt even about Rocky Marciano. Its about Carl Froch. Read the original post again. You seem to hold your own opinion in extremely high regard and have little time for anyone else's regarding some as "ignorant statements" that you feel it is your job to come and fix. You seem to revel in a pretentious elitism in which you believe your knowledge of boxing gives you the right to berate other people who you feel know less than you. Chillax dude. But I know you wont.:-(
That's fair enough. I am a snob. I listen to a lot of other peoples opinions, I don't know everything. Some posters irk me, such as yourself, so I go off on one. :good I don't like your posts, you don't like mine. Agree to disagree :good
Actually I agree with some of your posts (not on this thread though, obviously) just dont start getting shitty and pompous when you when you see something you dont agree with. Take heed of your own words and agree to disagree from the start. Dont do it days later after arguing the toss and insulting people on the way. Particularly if you're going to take offence to the insults you get thrown back.
I was responding to your thread though pal. The argument was that Froch was similarly regarded to Rocky in terms of not being regarded very highly skillwise but kept on winning. My original point was to point out that they weren't similar as Rocky was better thsnyou gave him credit for. So there was really no need for any of this :good
It was more to do with Froch not getting credit for winning because of his style whereas Marciano gets tons of credit regardless of his style. But hey ho!
Fair enough. I will add that Marciano is the most lambasted fighter in Heavyweight history. But I see what you mean :good
