I did have Froch winning the fight, 114-113. The point deduction (which was total BS) was the difference on my card. I also have to say that I like Froch, and was hoping he would win the bout. That said, he looked like a hack in the fight. The equivalent of some mid-40's guy you pick at the local park because you need one more to play 5-on-5 hoops. The ref sucked, but he pretty much sucked equally until he took the point from Dirrell. Froch (and Dirrell, but Froch started it) was dirty as hell: Holding and hitting, hitting on the back of the head, hitting on the breaks, etc. Dirrell responded in kind: Elbows, jumping into Froch, etc. Froch looked he had never spent a minute sparring with southpaws and seemed to have no idea at all about how to catch up with Dirrell. You almost hoped the ref would wave the fight off to spare Froch from further embarrassment in his hometown. It reminded me, in some ways, of Michael Moorer vs Evander Holyfield. EH just couldn't deal with Moorer's being a lefty, and that really hurt Froch tonight. One thing tonight showed, to me, is that Carl Froch would be totally dominated by Joe Calzaghe. I always knew that, but tonight the case is completely closed. Froch vs Abraham could be interesting, depending on how Abraham would fight and what AA brings to the bout. Froch has no shot against Kessler, IMO. He would get schooled, with a distant outside shot at hurting Kessler to win a stoppage. Give Froch credit: He fought a crap fight but he still got the "W." But, man, not sure the last time a person has looked so poor when they were the ones with the hand raised after the match-up. Froch looked slow, confused. He looked like a guy picked at random from the crowd to fight Dirrell. Your thoughts on Froch: Exposed? How badly? Can he beat Kessler? Abraham? Was Dirrell robbed?
