This will likely be the Super Six final. Can't see anything other than a Ward UD. Just have no idea how Froch would go about beating him, if he fights like he did against Kessler he'll be outworked on the inside and if he tries to box Ward he'll also be beaten in my opinion.
Froch will make the late rounds hell for Ward, but the younger man will prevail by 2-3 rounds. Ward isn't a hard-puncher, but he hits hard enough to sting Froch in the early going. Ward isn't as explosive as Taylor, so I don't see Froch getting knocked down, but he could be hurt. But after Ward's had his successes, Froch will start applying pressure and, unlike Abraham and punks like Green, he won't be easily backed off. So, I can imagine Carl doing some damage and pulling back into the fight before Ward boxes smart and keeps Froch chasing. I hope Froch forces Ward to show something more impressive than he has recently.
I do think if Froch has any chance of winning it will be via a stoppage. It's going to take something special to beat Ward.
Ward will beat him however he wants. Sorry but thats reality. Froch isn't going to be fast enough to put any hands on Ward. I can see Ward handling him on the inside or if Froch wants to be 'Mr Technical' Ward will show him some angles and confuse the hell out of him like Dirrell did. Only it won't be a marathon, Ward will sting him too.
Ward by decision, 117-111ish. If Froch wants to start brawling he'll come a distant second...... if he elects to box he'll come second, but be more competitive due to his awkwardness. For some reason a lot of people rate him as a good brawler and capable of applying pressure. I think it's the weakest part of his game.
He'll do better yeah, but won't win more than a couple of rounds. Bila is a dirty **** who nobody looks good against, if Froch boxed against Bika he'd win easily..... in the trenches he'd struggle. His only chance against Ward is if they don't prepare for the right Froch.... and doesn't adjust in time. Froch will have some success early and late, but will probably be dominated in the middle rounds.
I actually back Froch to do this, he brings something a little different to each fight, I think He needs to start fast, first couple of rounds close the gap and put the pressure on, Ward can do good work inside but only when the Ref allows him to impliment his gameplan, Froch can get in and land the uppercuts, he needs to switch between boxing, brawling and pressure rapidly, I think he can hurt Ward too, i still have concerns about that chin. I see Froch pulling out a close MD or SD, with the aid of two knockdowns, so Ward wins 6 or 7 rounds but Froch takes the rest and floors him once early and once late.
Froch by late tko.. If he connects late ward will be in trouble - can't see Froch getting bullied like some of wards earlier victims including Kessler... Wards boxing skills are way overrated in my opinion..
