    Ward ud. 8-4 I imagine.
Too fast, skilled and versatile. Weather he uses pure boxing or brawling he should prevail. Think Froch's sself belief and determination will make it pretty competitive however.
Also I only make Froch a very slight favourite over Johnson. (Who I think has a better chance of upsetting Ward)

Carl froch is actually my favourite boxer to watch, I've had some great nights watching him. I'm looking forward to saturday against johnson, I think carl should win that but this is boxing and anything can happen. Ward vs froch in my head seems like a boring fight which I see ward winning, but like I said, you just never know.

Froch is criminally underated, stlill ! Very competitive fight if he faces Ward, better talking about it though after getting past Johnson first.

Ward looks brilliant against straight up boxers. Give him something different and he'll struggle, like many stand out amateurs. Against Bute, Andrade or Kessler again, Ward would barely lose a round. Put him against someone awkward like Bika, Hopkins, Pascal or, yes, Froch, and Ward will start to struggle. Mainly because he's a rhythm fighter and against a good fighter who can disrupt that, he can look average. Everyone is bigging him up again after beating someone tailor made for him in Abraham but who was saying the same after the Bika fight? People talk about how good Ward is, and rightly so, but they ignore how average he can look if his rhythm is disrupted.

He's been lucky so far in his career. The best three fighters he's fought, Miranda, Abraham and Kessler, have all been perfect for him. He's been matched well just like his fights have always been in a suitable location. The very few times he's been tested, has he looked great? No.

Froch will bring an awkward fight and a rough atmosphere if British fans travel. That will be new to Ward as he's yet to face an elite fighter who can disrupt him, and he's yet to fight in front of a volatile crowd. This bodes well for Froch. Sure, he has had his poor moments but he's fought every style out there so he has the experience Ward lacks. He knows how to handle fighters who have speed like Ward, punching accuracy like him, more power, faster feet and so on. The only guy who Ward has fought similar to what Froch brings is Bika, who made Ward look poor. The bad news for Ward, is that Bika is a B-class version of Froch.

I think it's an interesting, close bout. I font know who to pick but this is a tough fight to analyse. No way does it end up as a one-sided loss for Froch.

A Ward decision win looks the obvious choice. One thing we don't know about him his how tough he is, he's not had a guy all over him giving him a beating, will he be able to take it? will he crack under the pressure? Possibly, that's Frochs' only chance, he won't be able to out box him, he has to get on Ward and make it a brawl, and hope he doesn't like that. The result will depend on Frochs' capability to do that, he could just spend the whole fight chasing Wards' shadow and lose a lopsided UD.

Abraham shook Ward, even if it was momentarily. Froch has showed he has decent enough power whilst ward has shown hes still at middleweight level in terms of power.

Ward is going to try his best to make it an ugly fight, getting on the inside and trying to rough froch up like he did Abraham and Kessler however Froch can show he can rough up on the inside unlike Kessler and Abraham.

Personally skill wise Dirrell was the best but he has no heart and is completely negative
Kessler is second skill wise but he shows heart, is willing to engage and is a great fighter
Abraham just has Power and a Shell Defense, if you have a chin or dont allow yourself to be hit hes no threat
Froch has a bollocks defense but hes shown he can adapt styles and box but can go to war when needed and will fight dirty if prompted
Ward is a good fighter but he leans in with his head too much and throws combinations and holds

it doesnt matter if kessler beat ward (all be it fighting dirty) Froch has a great chance of pulling off the upset. its going to be an ugly, ugly fight with Ward winning a negative UD or Froch overpowering him and Stopping him late.

Its going to be an interesting finale but no chance is it going to be FOTY.

I've pitched for a Ward UD, but I think it will be a lot closer than people are thinking and I wouldn't be overly shocked it Froch did manage to pull it off. That's if he gets past Johnson at least, anyway.

After watching the Hopkins fight the other night i hope Johnson dont reel back the years, i think Froch will take care of buissness in his next fight, then take Ward out late on.....

Good analysis :good ... i think Froch will draw him into a war aka the Pascal fight but even though Ward may have the forehead he doesnt have the heart for that type of battle... Froch by late stoppage !

What evidence is there to suggest Ward doesn't have the heart? If Froch goes to war with Ward, he'll come off even worse imo. He could steal a few rounds boxing on the outside but no matter what way he fights, I don't think he has the tools to overcome Ward.

    Ward via fairly wide decision.
