I've watched a few of Froch's fights and he still fails to convince me as a world class operator. He is a contender, just one of five/six fighters out there at 168lb's with Kessler clearly at the top of the pile (shame Palle is destroying his career). Froch is too slow and too open, he can be outboxed comfortably by the likes of Bute, Taylor and Kessler. Andrade, Bika and yes Lacy would give Froch absolute hell and any fight would be 50:50. So could could Lacy beat Froch?
froch hits hard enough to trouble lacy and he would beat lacy to the punch all night, i reckon the ref would jump in around the ninth
Jeff Lacey's kryptonite has always been speed. I don't see it being so clear cut, Froch is slow & sloppy and is chin is hanging out there to be hit. Jeff has never lost by K.O., if he does have one world class attribute it's his chin. I am still not convinced by Froch's power at the world level.
Bute UD Froch Taylor UD Froch Andrade UD Froch Kessler TKO Froch Froch TKO Lacy That is how I would see it, given Taylor could and should have stopped Lacy. The guy hasn't got anything left, he's got a good chin but he takes too much.
Froch would stop Lacy no doubt, he'd give him all sorts of angles. He hits harder than Taylor and Calzaghe.
Froch would murder Lacy. Lacy is just a shell of the fighter he was before Calzaghe massacred him. I'm not even sure he was ever that good before Joe got hold of him.
Froch would beat him on PTS, his power is overrated and Lacy is durable, but Lacy isn't even as good/effective as Pascal at this point.
Lacy is finished the left hook is done and froch would walk through his punches. Still Lacy has a good chin and can take a huge beating. Froch UD for me.
Not that Froch is anything special, but Lacy is rapidly losing his skills and reflexes. Froch would benefit from good timing if he fought Lacy now, and probably stop him. Unfortunatly for Carl, he'll be fighting Taylor instead and will get his ears boxed off.
