Exactly. He was a stand out Amateur in this country. Like David Haye. Both came outta the 2001 World Championships with medals. Both are techincally solid, it's just that's not their way of fighting. People need to realise it doesn't mean they are crap technical fighters.

I agree. He was injured after the fight against Pascal, in December. He couldn't fight before the end of April and now he's been knocked down yesterday. He should take a break, that's a big defense he just did. He cannot go back in the ring in three months. At least a four months break. I expect him to come back early September. It's very improbable that he fights Andrade when he returns. He has another mandatory to make. I can see the WBC accepting a unification against Bute counting for a mandatory but Andrade is too far in the WBC rankings. Bute will fight before, in July probably, against Green. I don't know what's happening with Librado Andrade. He's supposed to have an elbow injured. How much time does he need before the rematch against Bute? That's one of the keys opening the fights in the division.

If you possess technical skills and don't use them, well you fight like a crap technical fighter, period. :think If you don't use your skills, there is a good chance they have disappeared the day you need them.

This would be a real classic, but if Froch is as reckless as usual this fight is a toss-up.

They haven't disappeared. That's a bit of stupid thing to say. You don't magically 'forget' your skills. They are still there but he doesn't have the speed to make up for them.

You can see their still there because he's a counter puncher and he does it well, he finds gaps and angles, I mean you saw him yesterday finding to land the uppercut on Taylor inbetween the gaps, you saw him timing the right hand, you saw him throwing the right hook around the guard spotting the gap. Offensively he's pretty educated and he executes things well.

cant believe anyone gives andrade a chance against Froch.

he's not the biggest punch on him and his speed is too slow, he's been hurt by Yusaf Mack and dropped by Mack too.

i like andrade, but really... beat the cobra ? lmao.

Froch has a bigger engine than even Andrade has.

I think Froch would win by knockout. Andrade has a great chin but i think that Frochs heavy counters would get a 11 or 12th round KO. Taylor has the best skill and speed in the division. Thats why Froch was getting outboxed. Against the other top fighters, Frochs speed and skills will at least hold their own.

Andrade would beat Froch by late round knockout.

Make no mistake Andrade has a chin of steel. I don't think Froch would stop him, he may stun him occasionally like Kessler did, but it's going the distance.

He can bang aswell, but I mean people are taking it to the extreme, Tsypko went the distance with him and people were talking about his heart to stay in the fight and go the distance. Froch has a lot more heart and arguably a much better chin than Tsypko.

I think he's far better technically than Andrade aswell, he's got a very good long jab and he can counter-punch. Therefore I think he controls this fight with his jab like he did with Pascal when he didn't get drawn into a brawl, and counter punchers enough with right hands and uppercuts to take a very comfortable decision. 8-4 or 9-3.

I'm sorry but in a sport like boxing, if you don't practice your skills, yes, they disappear. He's a good counter puncher because he does that all the time. All his strategy is based on that.

You don't think he practices them in sparring/training?

By that logic Floyd Mayweather should of forgot the check hook he learnt in the Michigan Amateurs but in the mid 90's. Yet he somehow magically remembered it for the Hatton fight.
