This should be a great fight. Froch has beaten better opponentsa but Kessler has looked better when he wins.

Froch could surprise us with a big win, although Kessler is going to be favourite. If I was Froch I'd be looking at body shots against Kessler.

i think froch will suprise us as well,a couple of dodgy wins(still won though) against 2 good yanks, and people write him off. ive seen kessler struggle and abraham as well, can't remember who against, can't be arsed boxrecing it,but most boxers struggle against certain types, and kessler aint no artistic defensive boxer, not fleet of the foot, and he won't run away
gonna be a good fight though

I agree with the general theme that Kessler is a very hard night's work for Carl.

In short, watch the first three or four rounds of the Taylor fight..... that sort of action but for a sustained period - forcing a stoppage around the 8th.

Kessler hits harder than Taylor I'd say, doesn't have stamina issues and has a decent set of whiskers.

How did you work that one out based on styles?

At least against Abraham he has a stationary target that will allow him to have plenty of opportunities to work. Froch's wide hooks and uppercuts might actually get around and under Abraham's guard too, if he just stands still.

Kessler is no slouch in the ring that will stand right infront of Carl, nor is he a guy with no work-rate that can just lose rounds that way.

    I think this too.

I know he perhaps doesn't have as stiff a guard as AA, but Froch got right around Taylor's guard and also battered his way down the centre. He may be able to get to AA's body at a distance too, as Froch tends to fight at a range. You never know, that long range, often ineffective, corkscrewing uppercut, may come to some use too, comeing up under AA's gaurd. : )

Froch leaves himself wide open and I think he'll get reckless whilst trying to open the King's defence and be taken apart on the counter. Whilst his workrate isn't high, I think AA can land meaningful puches on Froch and also absorb what Froch has to dish out. Personally, I think Froch is made for AA. I still think this will be the Super Six's best fight, though.

Concerning Froch's chances against the Dane, I think this: I think Froch has a better chance of actually hitting Kessler with something meaningful as there are more opportunities to hit Kessler clean than against AA, but I still think Kessler will pick him apart on his way to a wide decision. I only see Froch having a puncher's chance against Kessler and there's no way in my mind that he'll ever outbox Denmark's finest.

Froch is in the big league now and it's more than plausible that he will lose his next two fights due to his non-existant defence and inferior (compared to other's in the Super Six) boxing skills, IMO. If he pulls off victories in both fights, then I will gladly eat a shitload of humble pie and be immensely happy that a British fighter has achieved such outstanding victories:good.

Froch wouldn't really have to be reckless against Abraham. If Froch can sit on the end of his long jab and fight behind that he usually will. That is how he beat Pascal and that is how he started to get into the fight against Taylor. He gets sloppy when he's struggling to time punches and get into a range where his lack of speed can remain effective, that all comes down to footwork, or rather the movement of his opponent. Froch is never an oil painting in the ring but he gets sloppier with frustration not choice.

Abraham is no twinkle toes in the ring, I don't think Froch would have any great difficulty letting his shots go. And for once his lack of punch technique might actually work for him because everybody knows Abraham blocks textbook punching, its the hooks to the side of the head or body that can get to him - Taylor's only effective punch was the left hook.

Someone give Froch B-Hop's number because Carl needs to improve his defense. The Cobra says Kessler is getting knocked out, well if Froch goes in there with Abraham, then I'm afraid its Froch who will be getting KO'd, no matter how good his chin is!

Abraham is the winner in waiting of this tournament!

Weres this fight taking place ? I think Kessler will be too good for him TBH If Froch wins he will need to keep a nice tight guard flinging nice fast combinations, then getting out of the way when Kessler flings punches back at him, I think if he stands toe 2 toe with Kessler he could get knocked out.

    Froch has got this one.

He's just got to use his jab more and when he backs Kess up, land them bombs and Kessler is not good fighting backwards or against the ropes.

Froch is much much better on the back foot himself, so if Kessler wants to bring it, Froch will seal the deal.

When he defeats Kessler in Copenhagen, it's gonna destroy a LOT of Calzaghe fans !

I think Kessler will win but The Cobra has more of a chance than some people are giving him. It should be a good fight though, an all out war!:good

I admire Froch's constant willingness to challenge the best since he's won the title. However, I think this is going to be a mismatch, he's never fought anyone in Kessler's calibre, just look at the Andrade fight and you'll see a vintage kessler. This is going to be a destruction, a decimation, Kessler is gonna win this.
