Toney lost to Griffin twice who was decent but not special and to sum can named Drake Thadzi. It so difficult to get posters to stop ovverating Toney in a fantasy match up.
Considering I've watched every single second of every single fight I think I can speak to Calz' abilities. When he fought the ONLY three talented fighters he ventured to face in his ENTIRE career - OLD and/or far past prime versions - he caught punches with his grill because HE SIMPLY DID NOT HAVE THE EQUIVALENT athletic talent to see what was coming and avoid the punches. Chris was a last second replacement, cutting weight, and past his best and still landed on Joe's grill repeatedly with the SAME damn punch. Joe won the first three or four and was fortunate the fight wasn't called a draw as he landed hardly anything after that. [Joe, was the guy rocked and holding as the seconds ticked away in the 12th] Joe went into hiding after said fight and fought a collection of bums (more or less) for a decade. Son, you need to check his career. When you knock NO ONE out (without controversy) in your ENTIRE career you simply are not extraordinary. Joe stands shoulder to shoulder with the Collins, Ottkes, Kesslers, etc. - more or less. Reid and Starie (and ****ing Salem) would probably say he stands next to them as well. Mitchell, Brewer, and Sheika would have all killed for a second chance on EVEN terms (level playing field). Only a gimp and lame ass non-athlete can miss the talent level of James Toney. You don't move up from middle weight to heavyweight and fight into your 40s UNLESS you are talented. How ****ing stupid are you? Chris Eubank: "Listen, Calzaghe is easy to hit with right hands. He's busy enough, fast handed southpaw but he's abit European, quite square and rigid, you know? He's far from unhittable, infact he's easy to hit with the right (hand). Just a basic, straight right hand lead he doesn't seem to see, but of course, you have to have abit of speed ... "I also found him (Calzaghe) fairly easy to hit with body shots ... ," added the lisping former champ. All this "GRANITE" chin **** is for fan boys. If you fight someone who can hit you with what you can't see or avoid no chin is gonna hold up. OTOH, if you fight bums, domestic/regional comp, and other average guys like yourself then your chin never gets checked, rechecked, and finally cracked. If Joe had met a few more Chris Eubank types immediately after '97 instead of the crap he did he wouldn't have been a poster on your wall above your bed in your daddy's house.
