    gotta agree,

super quick, really slick, great on the inside as well. Thanks be to god he doesnt have heavy hands, otherwise the ****er would be damn near unbeatable

hard luck to Froch, a good effort, but Ward is simply too good.

Froch-Kessler in Nottingham would be fitting.

Ward will/should probably take a fight in the interim before Bute, wouldn't mind seeing him utterly school Pavlik, though it's unlikely Pavlik will be able to make that a viable contest the way things have gone.

Pavlik is done, Jpab. No need for that fight.

    Disappointing fight for the final.

Ward is talented but he is a spoiling fighter. He is naturally awkward. You can't learn the **** he does.

Froch showed a lot of balls in the last two rounds. He really wanted it even after getting his head punched off for 10 rounds. Ward looks like a bull but some of it might just be be great balance and how he shifts his weight to make his opponent stumble or step back.

Wards holding is annoying though. He's seems to have more arms than an octopus.

    :deal

Hes got stiff shots though. Its taken the Froch fight to make me accept that he has some power behind his punches.

Im going to go and stop crying about froch but i accept Ward is a beast and future p4p legend. Respect to both fighters in their interviews. Virgil hunter still deserves getting his **** cut off with a blunt hacksaw.

He can tidy up at 168 with Bute and Dirrell then step up to 175

10-0 Ward, then I gave Froch the last two.

Boxing manages to find a way embarrass itself as always thesedays by the official scorecards.

I thought Watt and Darke bottled it enough by starting to frantically look to find a "closer" round to of course side with Froch in when they did it. Watt basically admitted he did that too, which I don't know whether makes it better or worse.

Ward was actually pretty tame compared to the fight with Green, for example. That was a butt/hug/lean-fest. It's amazing how much he's adopted of Hopkins' tricks and reworked them to suit.

He needs to stop switching to southpaw. He obviously wanted to throw Froch's rhythm out when he started have success, but it's a receipe for disaster against fast guys that can catch you in transition.

Plus he stood at too much of an angle.

There had to be a fight where all of Froch's flaws came to the fore. He has too many of them. The 'bow and arrow' after he throws his jab. The awfully bad habit of putting his right glove across is face and even as far as his left cheek, opening him up for the left hook etc.

Carl done himself proud though. Nothing to be ashame of. lost to probabily the only active fighter along with Nonito Donaire with potential hall of fame/ATG type of talent and skill.

I just get so excited watching Ward. Enjoy him while he's here because you rarely get a complete fighter like this in this watered down era. Who understands the subtlties so well.

Of course. But I merely doubt that he'll be immediately taking on Bute after this, as a result they'll be looking for a winnable money-spinner(relatively speaking), I consider it somewhat likely, seeing as there realistically isn't a huge amount of potential opponents to choose from.

Or maybe I'd just enjoy seeing essentially Hopkins-Pavlik II.:D

Any exuse to hate on Khan. You wont say anything about what he said about Froch after the fight.

PS: What the **** was Froch supposed to say? He lost almost every round. To about this fight. There is something wrong when Khan and his stupid analysis are being mentioned almost as much as the fight.

Ward probably deserves a homecoming fight after all this travelling to the east coast. Bute is in need of the same. Maybe a fight with Froch now he has a few losses on his record? :think

A Hopkins/Pavlik type demolition from Ward would be interesting though..

Miranda looks done these days. Still got the punch though but it doesn't get put out there as much.
