Darren Barker held his own against Froch in sparring I think that warrents a shot at Pavlik! :hey:hey Valid point about the nut hugging. sparring as nothing to do with an actual fight
id like to think froch cud outbox him but can see abraham landing 1 to many right hands forcing the stoppage
Ive got Froch etching out a decision in a war of attrition , with the possibility of KD's for both men !!!!
Even with Froch's solid chin and big heart, he is just too easy to hit. Abraham knocks out any fighter that is easy to hit imo. Froch even said he would stand and trade with him, and if he stays true to his word, he is committing suicide.
Froch by a fairly clear ud. I can see him standing off AA and looping power shots around his guard. Also I think he has enough weight in his punches to smack AA's guard into his face, hurt him, and keep him from getting set. Where it could get tricky for Froch is his work rate (he really needs to keep AA occupied) as his ponderous movement is not good enough to keep AA off balance by itself. Meaning Abraham will be dangerous for the whole 12 rounds. Froch also needs to go to the body early and take some of the sting out of AA's inevitable later attacks. Hopefully he learned that lesson from Kessler.
Froch will give AA too much respect and I think he will fight very warily and end up fighting a fight he usually doesn't and get knocked out, kessler showed he can't fight well going backwards.
I cannot see AA knocking Froch out, Froch has a good chin and very good stamina. It depends on each mans mindset and gameplan really, i would'nt mind watching a fight camp 360 about the fight to see if Froch has stopped feeling sorry for himself, and if AA has changed up his style a little so he doesnt get outpointed for the first 8 rounds.
I always reckoned AA to be the one disappointment/flop of the tournament. I can appreciate his power, but the difference with this is he is facing the best at 168 instead of questionable oppo at 160. He's facing a far more stronger, durable and powerful opposition than hes been facing before. Froch will actually be the more active fighter in here. AA doesnt get his shots off that quickly and Frochs reflexes against the average-speed puncher is really not bad at all. I trust Froch to outwork AA here and get the decision.
Abraham stops Froch Froch allows himself to get hit to much, which is something you cannot afford to do against Abraham. If he stands infront of him as normal he gets bombed out of there. Be entertaining while it last but I can't see it going much past 7 or 8 rounds. I hope I'm wrong.
Froch can't fight on the back foot, and when Abraham decides to attack then he will do so with very bad intentions.
