Abraham is clearly a pure better boxer but most of his fights, he normally waits until the second half of the fight in which he'll likely do that vs Froch who is a much busier fighter.

Froch was losing to taylor. he gives up plenty of rounds himself. don't be fooled to believe froch can win this fight. He is not in the top 2 of this tournament.

but froch is busier than AA, i cant see AA doing squat until round 8 or so, and i expect frochs chin can take 4 rounds of AA's attack

It all depends on Froch really. We know what AA is going to do. Hide behind the high guard for half the fight. If Froch is wild and indiciplined and hits too much glove and starts to blow later on, AA could come on strong and mount an assault. The thing I noticed about AA is that he conserves his energy quite well, which provided he hasn't taken too much damage in the first 6 or so rounds, then he's in a great position to come on strong.

Dirrel was able to offset AA rhythm with movement, making AA miss a hell of a lot! We clearly saw how this frustrated AA, hence the cheap shot that lead to the DQ. OK Froch doesn't have that movement, but he has height and reach advantage with a good jab. He needs to put that jab in and work the body to bring AA's guard down, then throw right hand counters upstairs. Froch will need a high work rate late on to keep AA off him. Rounds 9-12 will be crucial rounds and that's when you may see Froch go to war and try to outlast AA. Let's face it, Froch won't jab and move and run to avoid the AA storm in the later rounds. He will stand his ground and fight.

This could be a close fight but I am leaning towards Froch to win a UD.

this fight depends on one thing and one thing only. and that is how abraham starts. i say this b/c i fully expect froch to try and box and fight off his back foot like he did against kessler. more of a pragmatic approach. pick his spots to attack. if abraham just sits there in the opening rounds, lands nothing significant, lets froch do his thing and bank the early rounds...then froch will win this on points. if abraham lets it go early which is not his style, gets froch out of his rythym and drags him into a brawl....i can see aa stopping it late. i dont see froch winning an all out war with abraham from the opening bell despite how strong froch is. when froch is brawling he is open to be hit. when he is off his back foot he is more elusive than i gave him credit for prior to the kessler fight.

aa sits in his shell and lets carl win the first 3-4 rounds on activity alone....froch UD

if aa lets it go and lands early...aa will eventually stop him.

The fact you get an extra point and Abraham wants to take the lead he will be looking for the knockout and i am sure he will start earlier because of the point system. At the very least it is a major incentive for arthur to get Froch out of there asap by Knockout and shorten his plodding start to just the first or second round.

this is true. but abraham must be wary at the same time. froch has a big height/reach advantage. if aa doesnt land when he opens up, froch will have the perfect opportunity to counter. this is something he didnt do when kessler was looping those very uncharacterstic shots against him. by his own admission, froch didnt capitalize on this. i don't expect him to make the same mistake.

if froch stays on his back foot, aa needs to time his leaping right over froch's left jab that he tends to throw from his hip. he is very exposed when he does this. this is something kessler did not do enough. froch flicks that jab from his hip and tries to lean away from it afterwards. abraham needs to see this and jump on it.

Froch has a very straight forward style nothing fancy and does not have much power early and he will not be able to hurt Arthur. Froch is nothing Arthur hasn't deal with and Arthur will be the hardest puncher and tightest guard Froch ever faced.

some call froch slick...i think he's more quirky than slick. he doesnt move laterally but he does squirm around a lot. but if he stay disciplined and stays on his back foot and picks his spots aa will have a harder time than you would think.

like i said. this is all up to aa and how he starts. he will lose this fight if he lets froch bank the first half of the fight on activity. aa has the power to knock anyone out in the division. but froch is very tough. it will take aa landing early and getting froch out of his rythym to win this. throwing a few shots a round won't cut it.

    Froch UD.

I think he's got a better overall set of skills that will help him. Contrary to popular belief, Froch can box, he just looks awkward doing it.

One thing that I think is a bit of an oversight is AA chin. Now we saw Dirrel put AA down, but other than Dirrel how much has it really been tested? at middleweight and at super middle and so don't forget he is up a weight division too. We know Froch can take bombs as he has proved it against Pascal and Kessler and came back from a KD against Taylor, but how well can AA take clean hard shots from big super middle weights?????

Ask yourselves that! It's no guarantee that AA can withstand a war, so if they go toe to toe at some point you have to give the edge to Froch cos we know he can blast em and take em, but can AA??????

Froch also gives away early rounds and comes on late. He was down against Taylor if i remember and even though Arthur starts late even during that early period if there is an opening he can catch you hard. Think Arthur is much the class here and has the right guy in front him to put himself back on top.

taylor put froch down with a counter over his left jab. exactly what aa needs to jump on. taylor was pure class with his right counter over the top of a left jab...unlike his usual bow and arrow right he would throw otherwise.

froch is open for that. especially when it comes from his hip. aa can duplicate this b/c he will explode out of his shell with that right.
