Haway you pedants. Surely this notion that certain people cannot be knocked out, physically (No Chisora) is ridiculous.
I sort of agree but there are cases where certain fighters getting knocked out seems an impossible task, take Valuev for instance, not the best fighter but its hard to imagine him on the canvas spark out.
If Marlon Starling, Sumbu Kalambay and Emile Griffith can be stopped, so can ANYONE! But Eubank's chin is infinitely more proven than Frochy's IMO.
Iv'e not seen enough of Starling or Griffith to comment truth be told but in Kalambay's instance he was caught cold, if he took that shot later on in the fight I don't think it would have been as devastating. You are right though, everyone can get knocked out just seems unlikely with some boxers.
Agreed, and there are extenuating circumstances with Starling-Molinares as well...I find it hard to imagine Villasana ever being stopped but if Arguello was teeing off on him I'd be amazed if he went the distance. Re: Valuev. If Haye can hurt him...
Ok, fine. Eubank's fortuitous/downright lucky wins over Watson were better than any single win of Froch's.
The second fight with Watson was an incredible turnaround from Eubank. He had to pull that punch out of his ass, Watson didn't fall onto his fist. I know you're not a big Eubank fan but for me personally Watson was better than Bute and Eubank had more adversity to deal with in that fight than Carl did with Bute. It's 'what do you like' essentially; drubbing a guy you weren't supposed to beat or overcoming a very good adversary in a fight you were behind in. I can understand both viewpoints but to dismiss the victory as lucky is pretty poor IMO. That'd be like claiming Froch's win over Taylor was a lucky one because Taylor had a poor engine.
Lets face it, its unlikely either boxer gets stopped unless they are totally outclassed or gassing. If I were to pick I'd pick a winner it would be Eubank, just. I cant give a great reason for my choice other than Eubank is the slightly harder hitter with the slightly more tested chin.
Watson was easily superior to Bute, an excellent technician with more power and a better chin. Froch could beat Eubank, but Watson would thrash him with ridiculous ease, probably by stoppage. I love Froch, but he's not beating anyone with better boxing skills that can fight too. Froch can only box at the top level, in any fistfight/inside battle he either comes second or labours like **** with someone he ought to beat with ease. The Pascal fight was a humdinger but there's no reason why that couldn't have been 119-109 x3.
Froch won't get knocked out, but he will struggle to win rounds. Eubank was faster, just as physical strong if not stronger than Froch, Hit' harder in my opinion aswell! and Eubank technically made people look bad, he had that ability that Bernard Hopkins has to frustrate fighters....... I think Eubank will be to hard to hit, on a regular basis! and lets face it, random odd punches won't be enough to deter Eubank. Froch is just too dam slow, any top elite fighter with above average speed and a great boxing brain ether beats him or gives him major trouble.
