Benaividez would beat Froch and overwhelm him. The Mexican monster is multidimensional. Relentless attack as well as being defensively responsible. DB like Dre SOG Ward may be to much man for the likeable popular Froch.
Froch far too hittable to come out of this one victorious. Will be lucky not to get hurt. Brawling with Benavidez whilst being easy to find is not a recipe for success.
Came to say the same thing, no rounds off against Froch DB would be there on a platter for Froch if he even thought about taking a round off, DBs power is overrated but he can’t half whip them to the body. He would be on the back foot all night until he took a breather and then he would be looking at the ceiling, Kessler would also beat him
Benavidez has Malignaggi power against fighters his own size. Any time he fights a puncher he is at a massive deficit. Morrell had power but he just shelled up for 12 rounds what a tragedy. Would Carl Frosh, Mikkel Kessler, etc just shell up and do nothing like Morrell?
Benavidez isn't on Andre Ward's level. Doesn't manage distance anywhere near as well, doesn't have his footwork nor his jab. Completely different styles. Ward had so many dimensions to his game and was an excellent back-foot boxer with a rapier jab, the thing which most often gave Froch issues. Benavidez can't fight effectively off the back-foot. Froch would maul him up close.
Froch is a hard man and has beaten considerably better fighters than Benavidez has. Froch can be outboxed but outbrawled ? Not many can do that and I don't see Benavidez doing it. Especially as Froch gets stronger as the fight goes on which is bad news for Benavidez.
How so explain ? an aggressive fighter that likes to exchange punches ? Who doesnt have the best stamina down the stretch vs Froch who gets stronger as the fight goes on ? seems like a perfect match up for Froch quite honestly.
Curious....of the fighters that Froch defeated, whom do you think are "considerably better" than Benavidez? Abraham? Groves? Bute? I think you can make a solid case that Kessler was/is better than Benavidez, but I don't think he's "considerably better."
