Strange they chose to bill this as being an installment of "HBO BAD" and not "HBO WCB". :huh

1st off, it currently is still light out in every part of the US, so "Boxing After Dark" is a misnomer - plus, Froch vs. Groves II is for not only a world title, but two unified world titles...so "World Championship Boxing" would have been perfectly apt.

HBO is going to air some of the bouts from this morning's card in Macau.

Meanwhile on Sky they are showing the Wembley co-main event:

James DeGale vs. Brandon Gonzales, 12 rounds @ super middleweight

DeGale up three zip, bobbing and slipping punches effectively and countering with sneaky uppercuts.

    Round 4

Gonzales is jabbing in on DeGale, left arm low while inert, looking to hit that skull but having to reach down into a pit of snakes. Big uppercut by DeGale. Gonzales slumps as DeGale tees off with a jaw-jacking left hook and two hard whipping rights across either temple. Gonzales is down, stumbling over backwards! Gonzales is up and coming in with a pulley 1-2, ducked and slipped, DeGale countering nicely with the right hand and snapping Gonzales' head around. DeGale pushes Gonzales back with several woodpecker right jabs and slams home with the left, then opens up in an extended flurry. The ref steps in!

    TKO4!!

DeGale showed a bit of everything in that, while taking out a very solid opponent.

Slick defense, both flashy and responsibly mindful - excellent placement, hand speed, power and finishing instincts.

Gonzales lost in the 4th? That is surprising, he is a good fighter.

I haven't thought much of Degale since struggling with that Polish fighter who lost to Curtis Stevens.

DeGale has never looked better. Bad stoppage though.

It started five hours ago. :yep

If anyone did not realize - this is on tape delay. Stay off Boxrec & pretty much every other boxing website or you will be spoiled.

Froch vs. Groves II will be on live after this.
