Who would have won prime for prime? I think DeGale wins it via decision.

    Froch late stoppage for me.

Interesting parallel question is what each fighter's "prime" is - Super Six Froch and Badou Jack DeGale?

    Froch better in every department.

I agree Froch probably would have won, even though I would have supported Degale.

You seriously think he was a better boxer than James Degale who won Olympic Gold?

I know styles make fights, but the Dirrell fight speaks volumes, especially with Froch having it on his doorstep (and getting very lucky on the cards) and Degale going stateside for their fight and cruising to a unanimous decision with a couple of knockdowns thrown in for good measure.

Froch was a bronze medalist in the world championships.

He certainly was. One of his biggest achievements I would say.

Froch every day of the week for me.
He was much better than a lot of people give him credit for.
    One of my favourite fighters

Degale was good, a slick boxer with good movement but lacked engine and power, thought he faded badly in the Dirrell and Jack fights and the Truax fight was a real career disappointment for him, he was still only 31 and should've still been in his prime....the rematch wasn't much better.

For me 100% Froch wins, not sure if that would've come by points or KO though....probably go with a UD.

I always thought Degale was a lazy ****er.
And against Froch you would have had to have been switched on for the full 12 rounds

A lazy ****er is perhaps a tad harsh as you can't win world titles that way but he would've been severely overmatched by Froch's superior work rate for sure.

DeGale was shot by the time the Truax fights came around. He had nothing left after the wars he had prior to Truax, and then was virtually a corpse by the time the Eubank fight came around.

Genuinely only think the "war" he had was with Jack. Dude had 10 months to recover, there's no way he should've been made to look so bad against a dude that was blown out in a round against Dirrel. Groves and Dirrell were hard fights but I wouldn't say he was dragged into wars.

If you put his wars against someone like Froch, Froch came on stronger after every war he had stemming all the way back to Pascal.

I get what you are saying, but he had bad injuries his whole career. Chunky is tough.
