This is the most knowledgable comment I have read from the Jones Jr camp. All these other loudans and universal parts saying RJJ would win with both hands behind his back need to lay off the ripped fuel.

    He'd win easily.

He'd most likely be the first guy to stop froch. Froch isnt hard to hit and even if he didnt KO him, no ref would allow him to take the beating Jones would dish out

That punch that Glen Johnson had Roy sleeping for 9 minutes was detonated on Froch about 63 times and Froch ate them all.

RJJ by whatever he wants. Froch is a good fighter but he has below average speed...Jones would run circles around him. It would really be an easy fight.

Froch is much better than the majority of Roy's opposition.

Nobody has said that Roy would win with his arms tied behind his back.

But if you're a fan of both guys and you've watched them closely, it isn't difficult to envisage what would have happened.

In general, and especially on here, he doesn't get any credit for dominating the likes of John Ruiz.

So you could bet your life that a win over Carl, would have been classed as a nothing win against a basic fighter.

There are posters who give him zero credit for all his wins.. Toney, Hopkins, Tarver, Ruiz, I have seen it all...

You can bet some would add Froch to that list.

Ward doesn't get that much credit for beating Froch, which makes me believe Jones wouldn't either.

The shot that Glen landed was a temple shot, against a guy who took the fight only weeks after the knockout to Tarver.

But it tells us nothing apart from that Carl can take a better shot.

    It's irrelevant really.

Because it doesn't mean that Carl could have taken Roy's shots when he was prime.

IMHO, Roy was more powerful than Glen, and he had much more variation.

Again, it's the unorthodox shots that you don't see that cause the most trouble.

So Carl being able to take shots off of a past his best Glen Johnson and Kessler etc, doesn't tell me anything.

Roy could have dropped Carl with a variety of shots.

A left hook, a straight right, a left uppercut, or a body shot.

We've seen Groves drop him recently.

Roy was more than capable of doing it, with more power and more frequency.

IMHO, I think the ref would have saved Carl.

I think it would have been a TKO.

Froch has a better chance of winning a lottery than landing on Jones chin. Even if he lands a punch, I don't think it would have knocked out a prime Jr.
I'm tired of telling you this, but a fight between Roy and Carl will be a target practice for Froch.:patsch

    Exactly.

That's why the talk of Roy not fighting Collins etc bores me.

Because if he doesn't credit for icing Griffin in a round etc, there's no way he'd have got credit for Carl and Collins etc.

I'll be honest, I don't think he'd have gotten much credit had he have beaten Dariusz M.

Roy ate several punches from Glen Johnson before finally going down... Some of them were harder than the one that put him out.

I'm a Froch fan, but can't see anything but a Jones victory. Jones was ridiculously good in his prime. Froch's only hope would be if Jones got complacent which he did from time to time. Easy decision for Jones.
