Good to see you around AnotherFan, I have been seriously thinking Froch has a good chance in this match up. Like you said Froch takes a better shot than RJJ, and would be willing to take a few to land his own, and his workrate would make him finish this fight strong.

I personally think James Toney is stylistically the worst match up and would give Froch a solid beating. Froch struggled with Ward's inside game, Toney would have a fun day.

Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell and Groves were way to fast for Froch but Froch dealt with them. Froch has shown he has he grit and trusts his own chin well in tough times.

I think Roy would struggle with Carl's chin, he could do some real damage to his hands with the amount of times he lands on the Cobra.

As for Carl taking a few shots to get 1 shot off, he eats leather all night long against prime Jones and doesn't even threaten to hit him.

Cobra would be lucky to see round 7.

Prime Jones> Froch but in one match anything can happen.

Is this question here for comic relief? Froch's skills are so minimal compared to RJJ's that it is not worth pondering what would happen. RJJ would KO him without much effort.

The fact that anyone is even considering what Froch may have done with RJJ just shows me they have never seen RJJ in his prime. This is a no contest. Look what happened to Virgil Hill, a guy who would have KO'd Froch. RJJ took him out with a body shot.

So are you in the "Collins would have beaten Jones if given the opportunity" camp?

Neither Joe or Froch would of beat a prime Jones. Old Jones was able to floor Calzaghe. With all the speed prime Jones had, he would of out boxed Joe and KOd Froch.

Jones would hit Froch at will and Froch is wayyy too slow to even lay a glove on him. Go back and watch Jones at 168.

    Jones by stoppage

I think Froch beats Collins. But I get your point.

I think RJJ would land many power shots on Froch from rounds 1-6, then rounds 7-9 would be the transition rounds where RJJ sill on top, but rounds 10-12 would be Froch rounds where a crisp right hand on RJJ's chin would be possible. RJJ UD being the best pick, but just think Froch has a better chance than many other SMW's because of his will rather than his skill.
