Eddie Hearn, the promoter of Froch, has recently hinted at the possibility of Froch moving to 160 :think. Such an idea may not be that alarming, considering how easily he makes 168 (I think he hit this weight with three weeks of training still left against Ward). In the past, Froch has also talked about how difficult he’d find it if he was to try and move up to light heavyweight.

So, let’s just say he gets someone in to ensure a safe drop to 160. Would you guys be interested in a clash with Sergio Martinez? If so, how would you see it playing out? Do you even see Martinez willing to consider such a fight?

Edit: Or what if it was a catchweight of 164?

I prefer cleverly at 175 than sergio at 160.
I think Froch will be drained and sergio picks up a ud.

I must say, the prospect of Froch aiming at 160 would come as a complete surprise to me.(well, now it wouldn't....I guess)

If it were to happen, I'd have to say Martinez by UD.....too quick, and knows how to fight bigger guys

At 160 I can't see Froch having much success, 168 seems to be a perfect fit for his frame. If the Bute fight does not come off, he should move to 175 and fight Cleverly (A fight that FrankW has been quoted as saying he'd like to make) Froch would win that IMO. Then howabout a re-match with Pascal (First fight was great, they're friends and have always spoke about a re-match) In either the U.K or Canada, as both would sell out.

Froch is too slow to beat Serge. He wouldn't get stopped, but he would get pummeled for 12 rounds.

As fantastic Froch has looked yesterday, at say 164 I'd still favor Martinez.

Carl is too old and bi to be going down in weight

Sexy Sergio is too slick, too black for Carl to handle
