froch wins he is to big for martinez, martinez has no business at 168, the guys at 147 wont move up so that leaves him with these options: beat 154 guys like cotto, alvarez, angulo, cintron etc. or dominate 160 sturm, pirog, zbik, chavez jr, sylvester etc.
froch is bigger but has no real power...he doesnt throw bombs...Martinez may very well be able to outbox him...if Jermain Taylor can outbox Froch so can Martinez
Depending where it is, but a draw or close win by Sergio. Froch is a legit 168lber and probably the best aside from Ward.
I feel like Froch edges it. Martinez appeared to tire down the stretch in Williams I and lost the last few rounds enough to lose the fight Froch applies the kind of pressure that can break him down is it enough maybe Pavlik gave him hell and Froch is a simliar fighter maybe even better skileld than Pavlik
All of you that think Froch has a chance are delusional. Furthermore, this is indicative of the lunacy pertaining to the comments on this forum. Clearly you individuals play Fight Night and think your a freakin' boxing historian. Martinez will look like he did against "Dizzy" versus Froch. Way too much speed, footwork, and just pure athleticism. It isn't even debatable. I pray this matchup happens, I'm getting paid b******!
It would almost certainly go the distance. If I was a gambler I'd have a flutter on the draw. I would ege slightly toward Froch due to his size and reach advantage and his chin is much better than P-Will's similar to the first fight between Martinez-Williams but without Froch going down or being hurt at any point.
JT made Froch a fool for 10 rounds and dropped him and made him chicken dance. SM beats Froch easily. Man, Froch is getting overrated as much as that annoying AA was.
Froch has earned every bit of credit he gets, he consistently fights the best. Hes been underrated not over rated
Sergio would have to look out for the bigger mans power but I think with his speed and skill he'd pull off a decision victory.
