Froch's got skills, but seems to not use them often. He's an amateur World Champs medallist (bronze I think), got better pedigree than most think and can use his skills if needs be. Doesn't have tp P4P for a hypothetical fight at 168. Maravilla's a good fighter, got better with age. But being pressured by a hevy handed, awkward fighter that's fought his whole career at the weight he's moving up to.... I'd edge it to Froch.
Well yey that is true as he just moved up to Mw, also why go out of his comfort zone when theres way bigger matches at with Welters possibly in his future.... Even though i pick him over Froch it would be risky, so would a fight with Ward or Dirrell.
Because of the size absolutely. The gap in athleticism between these two is Grand Canyonesque. At equal dimensions it's not unthinkable Martinez could stop him. Froch would have to pay like he's never paid before against a snappy sharpshooter like Martinez. And we know Martinez wouldn't wait either. He accumulates tremendous amounts of damage alternately leading and countering with lethal intent. Most just do one or the other.
Dont think Martinez could handle Frochs size. Froch has to boil himself down to fight @168. Martinez could still fight @154. Hes a better fighter p4p but I think Froch would just be too much for him.
While Froch isn't a great boxer he is kind of slick. He has a hell of a chin and would put pressure on Martinez. That said, Martinez is fighting at a different level right now. He isn't getting a stoppage but I think he takes a decision. I think he builds a healthy lead on the cards, slows late but still takes the win. Only way Froch wins this is by a late KO TKO if he can wear down Martinez enough and I do think its possible.
And Sergio isn't Knocking out Froch, no way! Froch's Chin is proven to be World Class, no doubt! I reckon Sergio would take the fight, too, even at 168lbs!
maravilla is more than willing to fight a much smaller guy in pac who is currently fighting 2 weight divisions south of him. he should also be willing to take on a guy who is one division north of him. or does martinez just want to fight guys who are naturally smaller than him?
This fight happening, Sergio already said he's too small for the supersix and he ain't fighting pirog neither. He's looking for Pac and floyd
maravilla has been a middleweight for more than a year now. martinez is a small middleweight @170 during fights?! what do you call pac weighing 148-149 during fights as a welter then? and maravilla wants to fight pac?! :-( double standards. esb is full of it. atsch and maravilla is supposed to be the p4p #1 now, right? then he should have no prob taking on a guy just 1 division north of him.
