Hearns the better boxer but Froch might be tough enough to take the beating and still settle his hash.
I look at the way that Froch was dropped HARD by the right hands of Taylor & Groves... I dont like his odds against Tommy.
When Froch threw a right hand punch, he stepped forward with his right foot; he literally walked into right hand counters. You can see this repeatedly in his fights. Tommy Hearns was kind of known for his right hand. Froch was a tough guy and he would need to be.
Tommy's power really dropped off at 168 and above. I can definitely see Froch surviving getting shook once or twice and wearing down Tommy, getting him on spaghetti legs and bulldozing him while behind on the cards.
I got Tommy by a ud. but froch can definitely weather the storm and get himself at stoppage similar to the one he got against Taylor. Tommy had a so so chin and Froch had better power than you think but Tommy is the far superior boxer with the better jab and Froch did get thoroughly outboxed by Ward so he can be outboxed and outhunk this would be a barn burner.
I think froch would be too tough for that but I do think he would get 8-4 or 9-3ed on most nights but he does have a somewhat decent chance in my view, he had insane stamina and a very good chin.
